Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Compatibilty

If what you say is true, you should be fine.
Where you get into trouble is having an amp of higher power than your speakers. That means you will likely blow your speakers.

Technics receiver SA-GX350 Receiver Manual states to be only used with 8 ohms speakers. I've used 6ohm speakers with this receiver for over 20 years. Please explain is it safe to do so?

its not safe but manageable.if the speaker impedance is too low, the amplifier will tend to overheat and more power is used up in the amplifier than is delivered to the speaker. Too many speakers on a solid state amp can burn up the power output section.

My Technics sa GX350 tuner keeps going into overload. It's the only thing plugged in.

Hi mate, had the same problem with my amp.. Take the top off and there is a fan at the back, there are 2 piece's of copper flat wire that touch together and these do not touch anymore so when its turned up or the bass gets stronger it cuts off as the fan should kick in at this point. If you can get these to touch again (bend them) then the problem will be gone!! I have had to do this a few times now though so this is not a long term fix.. I may try soldering!

Technics Receiver Nonfunctional - Click, then nothing.

I'm not sure what entry will be emailed to you, so I have repeated the "solution" from the other entry below. Please only update one.

Thanks,
Dan

Initial entry:

There could be a number of reasons for this. It woyld help if you could indicate what resistors you changed. The circuit designation should be marked on the PC board. Please post those here and I'll look further and provide some possible solutions.

Thanks,
Dan
