On your cmos/bios setup, enable the high speed usb.

Choose different usb socket from the back of your computer, mostly built in with your motherboard. Insert the usb cable of the web cam from the new usb socket.

You may also download USB 2.0 to update the driver of your usb.

How do I down load from my camer to the computer. When I plug in camer to modum no box appears to down load.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from

Where on my computer do I plug my camera into in order to upload my pictures?

  • Normally you would connect the camera to the pc using a USB lead. To do this your camera should have a mini USB slot somewhere and you would plug the mini USB cable plug in to this, then plug the larger USB end of the cable into one of the USB ports on your PC (USB ports are usually oblong and situated on the back of the PC) , You may need to install some software supplied with the camers to do so.

Your problem has been addressed by microsoft itself. and it is available at the following link. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927836 If you have the manual refer to it and find out the USB version it requires and See the BIOS setting for USB.(High speed/Full speed) Some cameras only support USB 1.1 it will not work with other high speed USB. this can be modified through some BIOS settings for e.g. "USB 1.1/USB 1.0 comaptibility mode -> Enabled" Also make sure that you installed the latest drivers for your USB ports.
