I can turn the agitator by hand in one direction (which would pull the laundry down) but I can't turn the agitator in the other direction.

  • kwhatley Mar 27, 2008

As best I can tell by running the machine at various stages, the sound and smell only happens when the agitator is supposed to be operating. It sounds like rapid clicking (like something is not connecting or misfiring) and then the smell happens. It does not happen when the tub is filling with water, draining water or spinning the tub to spin dry the clothes. Only when the agitator is supposed to be working.
Thanks VERY MUCH for you patience and help!

Well basically they are these ear shaped plastic peices that are in your top half of your agitator under the cap that catches on a cog that makes your agitator spin one way during agitation and lets loose going the other way

Hi, Deborah and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
11. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
12. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.
13. Check for engine trouble codes.

Power steering leaking

Hi Kirk, I'm glad to help!
Kirk, power steering leaks can come from any part of the power steering system. Fluid can leak from seals on the hoses, the hoses themselves, the power steering pump, the power steering gear assembly, usually leaks from the seals at the end of the gear behind the long boots. These are a few things you can check and see what part you need to replace. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Kirk.

The 25 pint Frigidaire dehumidifer has stopped running and continues to show the "full flashing red light" even when it isn't, and will not stay on. Any solutions? Thanks Kirk J.

Kirk, the problem you're experiencing is generally caused by 2 reasons. The bucket was not reinstalled properly or the float valve in the top of the tank is either broken or stuck in the UP position.

First turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Then remove the bucket and check the float valve in the top of the bucket. Jiggle the float valve's arm to make sure it moves freely and that it is in the DOWN position. If it's not broken, reinstall the bucket making sure that it fits "squarely" from top to bottom and is making contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket should not tilt down at all.

If the float valve is broken, you can purchase new one from Frigidaire.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a T4061F. Iv'e been useing it as a monitor for over one year with no problems. Now when I switch to PC it search's for signal-then reads Not supported mode. I hooked the laptop to another monitor...

Hi Kirk,
Please try lowering the PC resolution on a regular monitor using the display properties tab to no higher than 1024x768 or even 800x600
then save the setting.
Then connect it back to the TV
the not supported mode is most likely from a change in the PC resolution.
Best of luck
