I have a 12V Peg Perego battery charger. I think

I have a 12V Peg Perego battery charger. I think there may be a problem with the charger. Before I plug it into my new $60 battery, is there a way to check whether the charger is working properly with a voltmeter? If so, how? Thanks

Yep check it with a multimeter and it should show between 12-14.6 volts

The green light means it is ready to use. If the battery is bad though, the light will still be green.

I have the same issue. Called their customer service and they said it was a defect in the charging system. They are sending a upgrade kit for free, but when it's installed you can't charge the battery using the rear port anymore. No big deal. I'll report back when the fix is complete. 5-7 days until it gets here.

SOURCE: Peg-Perego charger plug won't fit in Gagtor plug

As long as it is a peg perego charger with the exact connection, it will fit.
The connection will look just like it as seen in this link http://www.shopjandl.com/iakb0501.html
but I know if the tabs are bent or broke, then it will not fit right. My kids broke the connection on the ends and I had to end the tabs straight which seemed to work.
hope this helps you

I have a power wheel price fisher charger and i like tu use it to charge a peg perego battery i have power wheels fisher-price 12v and i need the conection for a peg-perego 12v. Thank you,

hi, you will have change the adapter on the charger or the battery. do you have a peg charger thats not working? if so simply cut the connector off and splice it onto the power wheels charger. the chargers are simply a ac adapter so the only real difference is the connection points. get a cheap volt meter at harbor freight (under $5) and make sure you connect the + and - wires correctly, failure to do so will blow the fuse on the battery and maybe destroy the adapter. from your question im thinking you dont have the peg connector so can find those for sale on ebay or on http://www.modifiedpowerwheels.com . good luck!

CANT LOCATE CORRECT CHARGER

Howdy,
Most office supply stores and home supply stores, Office Max, Office Depot, Staples, Home Depot, Lowes, carry a Universal AC Adaptor that has multiple voltage settings with multiple plugs that fit a variety of low voltage charger connections.
