This is a NAT/Port/IP issue....
1. jump on a computer, run cmd and then ipconfig/all
2. note the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway.
3. jump on you xbox, go to system settings, network settings, configure network, IP settings.
4. Pick manual then change:
-the ip address to a varient of your ip address. Eg, if you ip address is 192.168.0.9, then make the ip address of the console eg 192.168.0.91 or 192.168.0.92 etc
-the subnet bank to the same as noted from ipconfig/all
-the default gateway as the same as the chosen ip address.
5. Ensure DNS Settings are set to automatic.
Changes to router (how to take these steps will depend on your router):
-Ensure the DNS ip address is given automatically by the isp, same with the internet ip address.
-NAT is enabled.
-port forward ports 53, 80, 88, and 3074.
-change mtu to about 1500.

Tv won't read the cable when hooked to the cable wire without cable box

Hello, Mary -

Your cable TV provider probably requires all TVs accessing the cable service to have their own cable converter boxes.

Note: An extra cable converter box will probably cost an additional monthly fee.

We have AT&T Uverse as our cable TV provider and need a cable converter for each TV.

Hi 4 yo x box 360 turns on fine with normal

If you are using the component cables, assuming it's the same cables that came with it 4 years ago, there is a little switch on the part that hooks up to the Xbox360. The two options are HD and Regular. Try moviing that switch to the other position. Also try another tv, friends or family if you don't have another one. Also, if you have a friend with a 360, swap out the component cables as these have been known to go bad after a while.

X box 360 when playing a game red lines run horizontally down the screen and flicker. on the pause menu everythings ok. and tv ok, this happened on fallout3 and tried GTA still there

This sounds more like the video connection. Is it hooked up through HDMI or the component cables. If possible try the other, or see if you can borrow a friends and try to swap to see if that fixes. Also see if there are different ports you can try on the tv.

Xbox 360 ics apipa

you need to set static ip's for the xbox 360 and the lan that is on the pc, easy to bride the two connections on your computer, then set static on the lan that the 360 is plugged in to, example:
360's static settings:
ip: 192.168.1.14 sub: 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 ------------------------------- computers settings:
ip 192.168.1.15 sub 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1

Connecting my xbox to internet with utstarcom um100c modem on pc

You are not going to like the answer I have for you. Forget connecting wireless with X-box. Purchase a router with an Ethernet port. I do this for a living and run in to this problem all the time. Trust me, hard wire with X-box is the way to go. A Lynksys router is a good router and is also VERY user friendly.

Xbox live isn't working, saying is not connected to the router.

you might have a problem with either your ethernet cord or the ports on your xbox. you can try calling microsoft customer support and see what they say or googling the problem. hope this helps!

Xbox

check your router's settings on the set-up page and configure your wireless settings to be able to receive private chats or get invited or invite friends to an xbox live game. try to check your firewall because sometimes its blocking your connection
