Question about Electrolux EL7020A Oxygen 3 Ultra Canister Vacuum Cleaner Bagged Vacuum
Could be a dodgy switch, mains cord or connection but description sounds most like the motor is running hot and the thermal breaker is shutting it down for safety. Assuming the motor isn't faulty it probably hasn't enough cooling air flowing through it. Some cleaners have a separate cooling airflow for the motor but most domestic models use the main airflow which can be restricted by a blocked hose or clogged filters.
I can't tell you how to take it apart but I can advise you from experience there are often screws hidden in the most devious of ways and even after all the fastenings have been removed the casing often has to be wrestled apart so in order not to damage the plastic (much) it is a good idea to keep the assembly in a warm room for a few hours before disassembly.

This sounds like an overheating issue. The motor is most likely protected from heating, some use the airflow through it for ventilation and cooling the motor. Then there is a thermal circuit breaker.

Check all the wiring connections to make sure they're tight.
1/2. Wiring to power nozzle motor or reset switch is loose.
1. Cord from power nozzle to upper wand. If the plastic portion of the wand is cracked near the cord connection, or the connections are blackened, they need replaced.
2. Wiring connection from hose handle to upper wand. Check for cracks and discoloration as in 1 above. Replace if necessary.
3. Hose connection to vacuum. Not likely, but possible.
4. There could very well be a break in the hose wiring.
You may need to take your vacuum, with hose and power nozzle, to an authorized Aerus Electrux service shop. They can try a new hoze to see if that's the problem. If there is a break in the wiring, the hose is probably worn in other areas as well, and should be replaced.
