Question about Dyson DC18 all floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

1 Answer

Changing belt How do I do that? It looks like I would have to take the screwdriver to the bottom and enter the engine compartment. I'm not sure that I feel confident to take this machine all apart and be able to get it back together again.

Belt

You probably need a phillips screwdriver to Remove the screws on the bottom of the vacuum and pull the brush bar out _ the belt is wrapped around one end of that and anchored to the vacuum - put new belt on and replace cover on bottom by replacing the screws.

How do i change the belt on the eureka 4703D

Changing the belt is quite easy on this unit.

First, you will need a phillips screwdriver looks like the X. there should be 2 screws on the top cover, and then MAYBE one more there by the hose where it attaches to the base at the back. The top cover comes off and you have full access to the belt underneath.

Also, side note, once you have the cover off there you should see a black and yellow sticker near where the belt rides, and it will go into more details to changing the belt.

Can you give me directions on changing a shark Euro-Pro UV219CS vacuum belt?
Thank you.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Shark vacuum cleaner belt is a side driven belt and you need to remove the bottom plate and remove the belt and place the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and make sure the ends are the same, insert the brushroll and then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and the track it in a straight line, replace the bottom plate. If you need further assistance please fee free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer with questions. Changing a belt

Take off the bottom plate, look in the bottom to see if there are any screw, could be 2 of them, then from the bottom there is a slot on each side of the top cover, using a flat screwdriver, insert blade into the slot and pry up to release the locking tabs. Belt # is 38528040. Put the bell over the brush roll, put belt thru opening and put atound the motor shaft, put back together.
