The impeller will be threaded onto the shaft, there should be a slot or a place on the back end of the shaft of the motor where you can keep it from turning. Impeller will thread off counterclockwise

Does motor on 1975 25 horse evinrude have to be in gear for water pump to work

The water pump HAS to be working whenever the motor is started. You'll burn you water pump impeller out very quickly if it isn't.

check the impeller for debris. you will have to take the metal band off that connects the wet end to the seal plate. inspect the impeller for debris. lube all o-rings and reassemble. if that does not work, investigate a blockage in the suction side plumbing.

I don't know the answer to this ... your pool service company can advise you. To my way of thinking, you are asking a lot of a 3/4 horse. I have a 1 1/2 horse lifting water in a two inch pipe about 4 feet to my water feature with no reservoir.

Since you have a two inch pipe, why not run a bigger motor? I have two HP on all my filtered lines which are 2" suction and 2" discharge.

Are you absolutely sure you have suction? ... and no air leaks on the suction side?

Dishwasher will not pump water out

The impeller of the pump-out pump siezes OR the impeller siezes because the water seals inhibit it from turning.
Problem well described in Owners Manual.
Yo may need to empty with a bucket initially.
Under the filter plates, there's a plastic access cover to the impeller.
You need to remove 1 Philips Head screw, the cover lifts off, and you can see the impeller, it is about 25mm (1") in diameter.
Remove any foreign material in or around the impeller.
Spin the impeller by hand.... it sometimes feels a little resistant, as though the seals on its shaft are gripping it.... this is OK.
Reassemble and try it out.

Good Luck

I have a shallow well F and W well pump, three quarter HP. It makes more noise now than when new. I have to lower the high pressure setting to get the pump to shut off, it seems a little slow about building...

Yes, you should have a pre filter in the form of a "y" strainer before the pump check to be sure this is clear first. If you do not have one or something along those lines you need to install one and check it at regular intervils. After that You can with the power off at the breaker open the pump and check the center of the impeller for clogs if this does not fix the problem you will need to remove the impeller and check the water vanes in the impeller. This get's a little deeper and may be something you want leave to a pro, but try the other things first. Good luck.

I have a 2 horse flowtec sprinker pump,

Don't feel stupid this is a design thing to make sure I can make money and you can stand there and say "Hey I could do that" If your impeller has a lock screw in the center of it that is left hand, so it unscrews clockwise. If it dosen't have one we move on, Looking at the front of the pump take a strong flat blade screwdriver in your left hand and insert in the left side of the impeller on edge. Then while holding it firmly with a small hammer or like device give the screwdriver a sharp hit straight down on the edge to break the impeller free. If this dosen't do the job after one or two hits you will have to go to plan B. Fornthis you will need to go to the back of the motor. If there is a small round cover about half dollar size dead center pry this off and use a adjustable wrench to hold the shaft and another wrench to hold the adjustable while use water pump pliers or the like to break impeller free by turning counter clockwise. If the moter has a full cover over the back remove this after shuting the power off at the breaker then take a 3/8 open end wrench and weave it into the end of the shaft and behind the cintrifacl switch on the end of the shaft the shaft will have two flat sides you can put the wrench on again useing chanel locks or the like turn impeller off makeing sure the wrench on the back is secure. You will need to use some force to break the impeller free and if the wrench slips their is a real threat of breaking parts on the back of the motor. Now rember when you go to put it back together just hand tight putting it back on. Good luck.

Does not pump water during the wash cycle.

It sounds like you are on the right track.

Open the dishwasher, remove the bottom rack, then remove the thumb nut in the middle of the unit that secures the lower wash arm and housing. Look for debris and clear any you find. Try again. If no joy, you will have to repeat the first step and also remove the wash pump upper housing that is secured with torx head screws. Same thing after you remove it - look for debris in the impeller area and remove it.

If you have to remove the wash impeller, you will need a 1" offset box wrench and as I recall a 1/4" socket. The 1" offset box wrench is needed to keep the impeller from turning while you remove the center nut. You will also need to remove the upper discharge line retainer clip to get that out of your way. Inspect the impeller for any debris and especially cracks or missing blades. If the impeller is damaged it will need to be replaced.

While you have this thing apart, check the lower wash arm and upper wash arm discharge pipe assembling for any obstructions.

I am assuming the motor runs ok and the timing cycles seem normal.
