What that sounds like is misfeeding.
Remove your paper tray and take a soapy cleaner, like formula 109 or fantastic and thoroughly clean the rollers.
If that helps and it statrs misfeeding in a day or two, you probably have slick rollers.
Watch inside the paper feed. Make sure the paper is going against the rollers then see if they just spin on the paper.

Is it jamming? Or displaying a jam at power on? If it is displaying it on power on, then you have a sensor misdetecting.

Could still be a very small piece of paper in the machine, a sensor flag is stuck on the frame, or a spring came off a sensor and it's not returning to operating position.

Remove all your cartridges, and inspet carefully all along the paper path. There will be openings where the sensors are. Look carefully at those sensors . Clean any optical sensor, and look for sensors that have become dislodged.

I assumed it was starting to feed but no paper was being fed.
Now I am assuming with this that is will not clear and come to ready at all.

It says my printer has a paper jam but i dont see no paper jamed and i refill it and it says say thing like it would let it go like its going to print then says jamed paper

Try and see if you can locate a small piece of paper that might be causing your printer to jam. Turn the rollers and see if you can see any small pieces of paper stuck in between the rollers.

Paper jam

Hi,

To fix this kind of error, remove the ink cartridge and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it.Check if anything comes out.If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of card stock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there. Open up the printer and clean the insides with a soft cloth and a brush. That should remove all the bits of paper inside. The teeth on the roller sides may have some dirt stuck on them which does not allow the rollers to roll freely and hence is as bad as paper jam. The idea is that the rollers do not roll whether because of paper or some dirt on the roller teeth. They have to be cleaned.

Thank you !!

Says there is a paper jam but there isnt - have looked and looked - can I overide it?

Possible problems:
- Tiny paper or something is stuck in your printer.
- Your printer roller may have dirt on it.

Solutions:
-There may be a very tiny bit of paper stuck somewhere - look very carefully. Also, open all areas and then close them - sometimes a printer has to have that before it resets from a jam. Check your paper to see if it is being grabbed by the rollers. if they are dirty or worn, the paper will not catch and the printer thinks it is jammed. wipe the rollers with a bit of alcohol on a paper towel (barely damp) if that is the case.

The printer is saying there is a paper jam but there is no paper stuck any way in the machine. The resume button does not resolve the problem.

The paper jam may not be very visible and obvious. It may be somewhere after the rollers. Some paper may be stuck in some place in the paper path. Open up the printer and clean the insides with a soft cloth and a brush. That should remove all the bits of paper inside. OR the teeth on the roller sides may have some dirt stuck on them which does not allow the rollers to roll freely and hence is as bad as paper jam. The idea is that the rollers do not roll whether because of paper or some dirt on the roller teeth. They have to be cleaned.

Says paper jam no paper jam will not print. Have tried restarting etc..

it is possible that a sensor is stuck or that the rollers cannot pick up paper and would need to be replaced

Dell 944 carrier jam

THE CARRIER MAY HAVE A FINE PEACE OF PAPER STUCK IN THE FEEDER ROLLER OR IN THE ROLLER PANS, REMOVE EVERYTHING, GET A CAN OF AIR AND BLOW IT OUT GOOD AROUND WHERE THE PAPER FEED AND EXITS THE PRINTER, THE CARTRIDGE MAY MAYBE GETTING SNAGED ON THE PRINT HEAD ALSO. SHACK THE PRINTER UPSIDE DOWN TO GET ANY TYPE OF MATTERAIL IN THE MACHINE, IT CAN BE PAPER, PAPER CLIP, STAPLE, PENCIL, ERASER MATTERAIL,
INK BUILD UP ON THE ROLLERS, CHANGE THE TYPE OF PAPER YOU ARE USING, IT MIGHT BE CHEAP PAPER PRODUCTS, LABEL GUM STUCK INSIDE THE PRINTER HOUSING AND EVERY TIME YOU USE IT JAMS.

Doesn't Print - Says "Paper Jam"

That is the problem, machine will show printer jam if paper feed rollers fail to pick up paper when requested, your machine sounds like it needs new paper feed roller or you can clean the paper feed roller with a slightly! damp cloth.

If no jam light shows when power is turn on and machine comes to ready and then you send a job to printer and it then shows jam then it is the feed roller or sometimes the feed clutch

If on the other hand it always show jam then there is or a switch is stuck.
