Hi i have recently reformatted my computer, and when it was all completed , i realized i have no sound, please help me out on how to install my sound driver, i have no idea thank you

have you checked that there is a sound driver for the dell speaker if not then simply goto google and type in dell and the model of the computer and drivers and find the dell website the downloading of the drivers making sure that they are for the right operating system and the right bit version for example Windows Home Premium 32-bit the drivers are free and will not cost anything to you from dell then install onto the system from the file that is downloaded any other issues please feel free to contact me and if in need or more assitance on downloading drivers

Hello! kindly follow this steps below:
Please find your motherboard or sound card driver then insert it in your disk in the CD/DVD ROM if it is in a disk then run the setup.exe of that driver software then follow certain steps given by the computer installation wizard. Then after you finished the installation restart your computer then if the sound is restored then you have a successful sound card installation. You can do this steps again if you encounter same problem next time. The reason why this you receive this error message cause your sound driver has been corrupt and need to reinstall due to some hardware failure and software failure especially if their are virus and worms enter in your system.

Also try to update and install anti virus and update it in order to proctect and level up your security against virus, worms and hackers.

you need the drivers for it, and first go to the device manager, and open it and go to devices, then at the top of the box which is listed as your copmputer, right click and scan for hardware changes and there it should find it and install it and the drivers if they are available for that computer. please rate my help with this problem and thanks for the opertunity to assit you

did you try to check if the sound card or the sound driver of the laptop is installed, if not go to support.dell.com and install the latest driver of the laptop,put the service tag of the system and that is the 7 alpha numeric characters at the bottom of your system.

It's probably a good idea to also download the IDE driver listed on the page too.
