Your video driver was either corrupted or uninstalled. Find what model you have and go directly to either ATIor nVidia sites and download and install the correct driver.

Download Microsoft UAA drivers for your O/S Uninstall your sound drivers through device manager. then install the UAA drivers and REBOOT then install your sound drivers The only thing I can think of was you did not reboot after installing UAA drivers
Hi, Please install a fresh copy of Windows xp or vista whatever. And install the proper and compatible drivers that should suit your motherboard. Don't install the drivers which does not support your motherboard or Operating system. Thank you...

I'm am not to computer savy and I have no idea what this means. Is the sound card and sound device the same? can I order the and just download so tha tI will have sound? Please help. It may be a good idea to actually download all of the drivers listed for that model, you can find them all here...
If your lan card isn't working either the onboard lan drivers are listed on that page as well. It's probably a good idea to also download the IDE driver listed on the page too.
In short, download everything there and install it to ensure that all of your motherboard drivers are installed correctly :)
