Sounds like you're low on refrigerant. You might try to measure the room temperature and the temperature coming out of the grill. The temperature coming out of the grill should be about 20° lower than the room temperature. For instance if the room temperature is 80°, then the temperature coming out of the griil should be about 60°.

What is wrong with a air condition when it want cut off unless the number is set up?

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. The number that changes is your set point temperature. (Your desired room temperature) So, if the room temp is 78 and you raised your set point temperature to 80, your machine would then kick off. Keep in mind this is when cooling. If you were heating it would do the opposite. Remember, if your setpoint temp is 78, the unit will continue to cool when it gets 78 simply because if it maintained exactly 78 all day long the unit would kick in and off 20 times per hour. Therefore most tstats will cool to 77 and not kick back on until the room temp gets to 79, preventing the machine from cycling too many times. Hope this helps!!

Sounds to me like a bad damper or a bad zone panel. Turn tstat off and call for cooling on zone 2. Then see if your still getting cool air to zone 1.( where the main tstat is)

What's your problem? I have a Airtron furnace/air cond unit and last night I smelled a odor that of something electrical burning. I also noticed that the heating unit stayed on and continued to blow...

I'm willing to bet a relay burned up. You likely have your tstat set to auto changeover, meaning it automatically goes from heat to cool to maintain desired set points??

The Cool mode wont cool. It's just like fan mode. I cleaned all the dust off the panels and still wont blow cool air.

First the weather is extremely hot mid 90's and humid.I have a Trane combination a/c heat pump system. The A/C was pumping out warm air.I called for a technician and the problem was the compressor was not working. The solution/fix was to replace compressor start capacitor. The technician was here for about an hour. The compressor was running before he left however I informed him the air coming out of the a/c ducts after one hour of run time did not feel as cool as usual. It took from 1pm until 10 pm at night to cool the house air down to 80 degrees and the system ran constantly.I left it on 80 as that is where I usually leave it. Today again it is running all day barely able to keep the house at 80.My home was built in 07 block house, well insulated with thermal double pane insulated windows.I suggested to the tech to check the refrigerant level but he did not think it necessary and did not perform the check while here. The unit will cool the house down to 80 degrees but runs constantly. My question is: Should I have a technician come check out the system to insure proper refrigerant levels and pressure????????

What tempratues should be set on a honywell 4 cycle thermost during the summer months

As a general rule set your t.sat 20 degrees below outside temp. Leave at this setting 30-45 minutes. Move down until comfortable no lower than 10 degrees below outside for 30-45 minutes. Unit should cycle normally. If it runs continuously then raise the t.stat 3 or 4 degrees up. The national average is 75-78. I usually keep mine set at 80 during the day here in Georgia and 74-78 at night...
