Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Unable to Edit Files.

Open Windows Media Player 11
Right click on one of the songs that is showing up as unknown artist.
Select "Advanced Tag Editor"
Manually enter the artist information, etc.

To save time, you could also right click the song and select "Find Album" info - it won't find every album, but it will find most of them.

The real bear is that once you have edited the information in Windows Media Player, you have to delete the affected song off of your mp3 player and THEN reload the newly-edited song - or else your changes won't register on the mp3 player itself.

yes, this player is naturally alphabetical, but you can re-edit the track #'s in the id3 tag, and then retransfer the song to the goGear - should work

Files

What do you mean create files? The musical tracks ARE files. I would use Windows Media Player to transfer tracks (files) to the device - you can right click on songs and edit the id3 tag information to add more details, such as artist name, album name - then they will be more organized, and you can view them more easily.

How can i put songs in files

Organize them within Windows Media Player first by editing the id3 tags - it takes a long time, and THEN transfer them to the GoGear - you cannot organize them once they have been transferred.

Won't let me name songs

To put names on the tracks, artists, albums, etc. You must put the track on a media player. (Windows Media is what I use), go right click on the track and select "Edit". From there, you can name the track, and if you have the MP3 plugged into the computer, it should automatically change to what the computer as it saved as.

How do I edit the file names so songs by the same artist can be in the same folder???!

Easy to do.

Connect your mp3 player to your computer.

By default the device is in MPT mode. In this mode you need to use media player or rhapsody or Samsung's own media software to transfer files. You need to have the music on your laptop. Once on the laptop you can edit the details - name, artist, etc to whatever you like. You can then drag it onto the player and it will keep those settings. remember to delete the files with the details you don;t want from the player

Go into my computer you will see yp-k3 device in the listing. You can edit the names directly this way but you cant move them to a folder.
