I purchased an akai mpc 2500 used and it came with sounds and sequences all ready occupied, how do I delete all these sounds, or restore its factorys settings?

Try holding erase while you turn it on. You may have to turn off autoload also. You'll have to read the manual first ( pages 110 and 114 especially ) available here:http://www.mpcsounds.com/download_akai_mpc_manual.php It depends I think on whether the previous user saved to memory card or the internal HD.

Cdrw/dvdrw won't recognize or read cd. I replace original cdrom and it works fine. Worked when first installed?!?!

Since you've already replaced the cdrom, the next thing you need to do is delete this registry files,..

This fix came from microsoft if your optical drive can't read or recognize discs,.

if your using windows vista or windows 7, click on the start button then in the start search box type in REGEDIT,

If your using windows xp click on the run icon then
type REGEDIT.

After that look for this,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

There can be many instances of the registry subkey that is mentioned in step 2. You must make sure that you are in the appropriate registry subkey before modifying the UpperFilters and the LowerFilters values. To verify that you are in the appropriate registry subkey, make sure that the Default data value is DVD/CD-ROM and the Class data value is CDROM.
In the right pane, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm the removal of the UpperFilters registry entry.
In the right pane, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm the removal of the LowerFilters registry entry.
Then after that go to device manager, look for your cdrom device, you can easily find it,.

If your using windows vista or seven just right click
on the computer icon then properties,
then on the top right corner of the window you will see device manager, click it, then look for the
cdrom, click the cdrom icon, a drop down box will come up, click on the item that came up, then right click it, click on uninstall,

Do the same thing in xp, but to get to device manager right click on my computer, then do the same process.

after that restart the computer and it will automatically restart.

If this one still doesn't work, update the firmware of your
cd rom which you can get from dell's support website, after that if all else fails,
back all your files and then reinstall the operating system.

Hope this helps!

I can't download a ringtone. I says I don't have enough file space.

ringtones are stored to the phones internal memory not the memory card. check to make sure that your phone is set to save music, pictures, and video to the memory card, not the internal memory. then move any of those file types that are in the internal memory to the card. if you still don't have enough file space you will have to delete something to make room

Formatting an akai disk

Preformat : By Fix-shad0w

#1
Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Hp pavilion dv9000 cd player quit working

Sounds like a bad cdrom... if the BIOS / CMOS doesn't pick it up during post, need to make sure it is seated good. Otherwise, just replace it.

Hi, have you tried a diferent power point {wall outlet], If all else fails you will need to test the internal power pack, If you can use a multimeter then the red wires are 6v, yellow wires 12v, black = negative, blue 5v grey is neutral and purple is 2v. If you cant do this then its off to your nearest technician. Goodluck, regards mistyman
