Question about ViewSonic E771 17" CRT Monitor
My Viewsonic E771 monitor colors suddenly shifted with absence of red and dominated by yellow and blue -- tried to adjust the colors but red does not respond and says green is preset. For one brief moment the monitor shifted back to normal color display, but has gone back to lack of red. Monitor bad?
1. video-card gone bad;
2. video-cable gone bad;
3. video-cable not tightly-connected to CRT;
4. video-cable not tightly-connected to video-card;
5. "red" gun inside CRT gone bad.
Disconnect the video-cable from the computer, and try again to adjust the "red". If red-free, then it's time to responsibly recycle the CRT.
Reconnect & wiggle the video-cable, to see if that induces any "red" onto the CRT.
Connect the CRT to the VGA-output port on a notebook computer, to see if that video-card generates "red" as one of the primary colours.
Give the CRT a strong "whack" on the side, to see if "red" makes an appearance.

Testimonial: "Very thorough list of alternatives. Much appreciate."
The process of change or a lack in the color of the primary colors colors on the screen due to three main things is the presence of cord separated within your cable connect the data from the computer to the screen or to have a separation in one of the legs transistor located in the Department of colors that are installed on a screen from the inside Or that there is a problem in the socket of the motherboard screen and to solve the problem of cable must be changed from the inside.
The problem of re-connect the transistor legs Plug and solve the problem of the socket must hibernate or change if necessary
