Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
When i turn the ps3 on it automatically turns off, then flashes red light and will not turn off. it will not turn on period and will not stay on long enough to get the disk out
I too faced same problem with my ps3 ............. even i restarted my system many times the same problem prevails ........ then i downloaded a repair guide and fixed my problem you can also try it .......................

i get same problem, this should work:
turn the main switch off at the back, then hold the eject button then turn on the switch while still holding the eject button. fan should go at max speed then it should die down after 20 secs.
didnt work for me but it should for you.

it sounds like you have a short in the system. take it to a repair plase. don't try to service it your self it will disable it self if you take off the cover.
