is there a driver for canon HFS11 to use windows - julyallan01_0.jpgMaybe, It doesn't work because the driver you installed. It is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you.Dont worry, You can still use your installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Before you installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatiblity". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D

Canon is using a generic USB driver so it should work under Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems, actually I think it should work from Windows XP SP2 and up. As soon as you plug the camera in you should see the driver installation and soon the camera should be visible in Windows Explorer as a hard drive, named Canon and the drive letter assigned to it, and a removable storage device, for the removable SD card on the camera. I have 2 computers running windows 7 64bit operating systems and the Canon Legria HF S11 was working on one but not the other. On my Vista laptop it was working straight away as well. I just started to work on this problem as I have encountered it only yesterday so I haven'n got a solution for the one which does not work yet. You do not need to install the Canon supplied software for this to happen just plug the camera in, switch it on and press the right hand button on the screen. If you have the default setup on the camera then you may have the choice to burn to a DVD or connect to the computer, obviously you select the connect to the computer.

My printer not working in windows 7 please tell me

I have luckily managed to figure out how to get my Canon MF3110 printing with Windows 7 64 bit even though there is no driver for Windows 7 64bit for the Canon MF3110 Multifunction Printer. The solution is to download the Windows 7 64 bit printer drivers for the Canon MF5750 and then install the drivers as your LPT1: Printer. Note this same work around should work in theory with the Canon MF3111 model as well.

You know you have the right file because if you go to Canon's website link here:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=335&modelid=11148

Select Windows 7 (x64) in the drop down

And download these drivers:

Cannot get Win 7 driver for iRC2380i

There is no Windows 7 driver for this machine. All the latest drivers are available from Canon Support at the following link

http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010555.asp

Select your Operating System and Language.

The official line from Canon on Windows 7 drivers is to use the Vista Drivers until the Windows 7 drivers are released at some point in the future. Note that Windows 7 drivers will not be released for all machines.

CanoScan N1220U Scanner Windows 7 64-bit Driver

You may use Hamrick VueScan Pro, it installs a driver that makes 1220 to work. Or, if the version of Windows 7 you use support XP Mode, install it.

It's still a good scanner, and mine is working in 7 x64 using XP Mode!
