    There are several things that can cause the problem. 1. Thermostat 2. Heating element 3. Temp control 4. Timer 5. Motor switch You did not mention Gas or Electric in your question. Additionally if you provide your make and model number we can probably give you some great tips on how to troubleshoot and repair your Dryer. Thanks for using FixYa. Kelly

    Electric? Either the safety switches are tripped open or the heating element has a break. You can check for power to the heating coil with multitester to see if you have power there first. If you do and no heat...its the element. No power? You should go back and check the two switches and see which one has power still. The other one is bad and should be replaced. Be careful working around the electricals and the moving parts! Good luck....let me know how you do ok?

Stove top works oven wont heat on 465


the ignitor needs replacing, that's the glow that you see. it's not getting hot enough to open the safety valve.
