We have a Sharp AR-205 that blows the fuse on the power supply as soon as it turns on. We had a copier repairman out here that said it is a bad power supply, but he also told me the power supply had a big black burn mark on it, which it does not.
Sounds like a short, possibly in the fuser. fusers use high AC voltage to heat to over 400 degrees Fahrenheit, but I have seen sensors that use 3 volts short machines also. where are you from as I could recommend Sharp dealers in FL, TN, and IN.

Could be many things, Bad on/off switch, blown 15 amp fuse, bad fuse on the power supply, bad power supply...
You may need to have a tech look at it.
Hope that helps...
if you are not getting any lights when you plug in and turn on power switch. These would be the steps I would follow, make sure on/off switch is functioning, 15 amp fuse is good or any fuse on power supply board, make sure power is coming out of power supply board. Power supply is the board with the power cord coming up to. Hope this helps. Should have a tech familiar with this machine check.
