How can I save a file to send to other people who do not have memorex expressit/

Do one thing go to www.gimp.org and download "The GNU Image Manipulation Program" it is called GIMP 2.8.2. After installation of this software , Choose Open and browse for your image (the one you want to convert). After you open it you just click "save as" and save it under the file extension you want.

Once you first open your picture, it might look slightly different when the program opens it, but don't worry. When you save it using another file extension, it will look the same way again when its opened.

Good Luck and hope it'll work for you and remember the sofware i mention is Free of Cost.

I wan to scan a thing but after scanning it said preview cannot be displayed for selected file type and keep on showing 5E on the printer

I would check the file type. As you know, if the reader for a specific file has not initiallized it will not display it.
Try running the printer install software again and check that PDF Reader is working. If you scan it and save the image as a TIF there may be problems reading the file.

How to scan using an imac

  • Connect a USB or FireWire scanner to the iMac using the scanner cord and the ports on the back of the iMac. Turn the scanner on.

  • Use the CD or DVD that came with the scanner to install any required software drivers. If the manufacturer's instructions indicate the scanner does not require additional drivers, you can skip this step.
  • Put the object you want to scan face-down on the bed of the scanner.
  • Scan the object by pressing the "Scan" button on the scanner. Image Capture will launch automatically and display a low-resolution preview scan.
  • Set up the scan using Image Capture. The settings available will vary depending on the scanner you are using. With most scanners, you can select a specific area of the object to scan, choose a scan profile based on the type of object you are scanning, adjust the color options and set the resolution.
  • Click the "Scan" or "Scan to Folder" button to scan the object. The image will save to the "Pictures" of your home directory if you press "Scan." The image will save to whatever folder you specify if you press "Scan to Folder."

I want to scan a form and save it, and be able to fill in the blanks later. I can save it as a pdf document, but can't edit it.

When you scan it, the original manufacurer's software should allow you to save it as a Word document or some other editable format. PDF, JPG, TIF, and other image formats probably won't work.

I need to scan my documents as a pdf in order for the receipients to be able to open. This scanner is only giving me two choices...tif and mdi. Is there any way to scan items as a pdf?

No. You need to scan then convert the .tif into a .pdf. There are many good converters around, some of them freeware or costing around $30 or as shareware. You could do worse than starting your search at the url below.
    Good Luck.

You can download a software program that can convert your pictures from the PSD ext. to JPEG. Once such program is  (Easy Graphic Converter), It is Free... Another excellent program is Graphic Workshop. I think that one is trial but it has a time limit.

Can i capture my monitor screen tomy dvd writer

Do you mean still pictures , or moving pictures ?

for still images of the desktop , use the print screen key
and open paint and paste the image there , save it to a folder
to be burned to your DVD player as a BMP or JPEG

Save as Both BMP and a JPEG so that you'll gain compatability.

If this is about recording everything that happens on your monitor as a DVD file

That can be done by using software designed to do that.
