Question about Mitsubishi WD-73833 73" HDTV
It will only come on after pushing reset and manual power button. it just shows blue lights but no picture and turns off after a few minutes
This does not sound like a user repair unless you are very familiar with electronics. Components store charges even when they are unplugged for a long time. You can get a bad shock. To me it sounds like a power supply failure or another component is so bad the power supply is tripping.
