You will be lucky to find a free code for a Chrysler from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database.

Try asking on this website here

www.ukbookshelf.co.uk

as they have a small database with free codes.

Otherwise you will have to visit the Chrysler Dealership or a Decoding Service

Only the RAZ model had both a CD and cassette player built-in. There is a small white 3 letter code on the radio, starting with an "R" - what does your radio say?

That sounds like an earth fault. If you can add a temporary additional earth and see if that cures it over period of time.

Cassette display only off and not working what can i do?

This means someone tried to enter the code into the radio 3 times wrong. You have to turn the key into the number one position and leave it ther for 2 hour. You need to make sure the radio is on with the off displayed on the radio. Make sure the lights are off so the battery does not die. I know this **** because i had to do this with my V70 when i bought it. After the two hours the radio will reset and you can enter you code into the radio. If you dont have the code you can get it from a volvo dealer. Just dont let them charge you. It is a free service.

Lost radio code

The majority of Chrysler Jeep codes are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

If you try here than I know they have a few free codes from the older radios

www.ukbookshelf.co.uk

Otherwise you will have to contact your Main Chrysler Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service.

Since the battery went flat radio /cd /cassette will not work.the 3 equaliser knobs flash yellow Thanks

The radio anti-theft device kicked in ... like it is supposed to. (If someone steals your radion, it won't work without the unlock code; useless to a thief).
If you have the original papaers that came with the car, the code is there.
Only a Chrysler dealer can unlock the radio ($20).... be sure they also give you the unlock code in writing... and don't keep the code in the car.

I'm sure that's the fix...

Can you install a CD player in a 2001 Ford Focus that only has a radio and cassette player? Someone told me that you cannot pop out the cassette and radio and install a CD player.

I do not know who told you that but that is bull. I have installed many stereos, especially CD players, in to many fords. I don't care if the year of the car was 1978 or 2006. As long as you have the right harness connected you will have no problem with the system in you car.

The cassette adapters are notorious for getting stuck in the deck. More often than not its the wire that comes out of it that causes it. The cleanest and safest way to remove the cassette adapter is to remove the radio, take off the top and "Help" it eject with your fingers or some narrow tool that may get behind it to push it forward and out. If you dont want to take the deck out of the dash, you can try pushing the eject button while manipulating the adapter wire, but I dont recommend it. Its just better to take the deck out. Good Luck

Cassette player not working

Cassette players usually have a little rubber band that connects the motor to the spindles. If everything else is fine, I would suggest seeing if it slipped off somehow (or got cracked and snapped)
