ER FF message in my display model 795.77573600

ER FF message in my display, model 795.77573600. Ised to have a clicking sound, but that disappeared and the error message came on. I switched off the power and that cleared the display to normal, but after a minute the ER FF was back on. The freezer and icemaker works, but the fresh food is getting warm.

Hi Ginko, the icemaker still works and it gets its cold air from the freezer, so I am assuming some air is flowing. Your thoughts?

Hi.

FF means that the freezer fan motor is faulty or malfunctioning. This will normally affect the fridge section temperature before the freezer section. The motor is located behind the freezer firewall.

As first action allow the unit complete defrost, by leaving it unplugged overnight (remove food first). This can fix the problem in case the error is triggered by ice blocking the fan blades.

If that does not work, or if the problem returns, then the fan motor is faulty. The fan motor can be tested by energzing it directly before replacement.

What er ff mean at Error message on display of Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

Hi.

Error ff (er ff) means defective fan detected. Before calling support or before replacing the fan try performing a complete defrost by leaving power disconnected for one day (remove food from inside the unit first). That will fix the problem if the fan was temporarily malfunctioning because of ice formation. If that does not work the fan must be tested before replacement.

If you need parts see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

Regards.

My LG display is reading ER FF what does this mean and what can I do to fix it?

Error Code Er FF
This code is not to be confused with the O FF or demo mode error message. The "Er FF" error code indicates a problem with the unit's freezer fan. The freezer fan controls the temperature in the freezer. The source of this error is most likely ice buildup. As with the Er IF error, allowing the unit to thaw should resolve the issue. Contact customer service if the error code continues to be displayed after having thawed the unit.

Hope helps.

On the display on door. The message says Er FF. What is this and how do it clear. When I press buttons, nothing changes.

Er FF is Error, Freezer Fan. The fan blade in the freezer is most likely blocked by some ice or frost. Clear that and the control will see the feedback from the fan showing that the motor is turning and the code will clear.

Some fan making a loud noise. When open either

It sounds like it is probably your evaporator fan, seeing as that fan will cycle off when the door is open, and resume when you close the door. Either some how something got in to it, or it is going bad. Hope this helps

LG refrigerator lrsc26944tt error code ER FF

I'm no major appliance repairman. However, after reading several posts, I investigated the issue further since I received an ER FF on the front panel. I have a LFX25960SW refrigerator. I pulled the top and bottom baskets out, and was able to take the back panel out from inside. There was a solid block of ice built up around both fans and wires. I took a blow dryer and gradually melted the ice around the fans and wires. Then, as I was able, I pulled the remaining ice chunks off of the wires. I put the thing back together and it cleared the message. My wife says no more LG appliances for us. :)

Error message Er FF

er ff means that the control board is not sensing evap fan motor operation this means either a bad fan motor ice in the fan motor or bad control board. you can verify fan operation by opening freezer door and feeling for old air blowing from back of freezer compartment. you will have to push in the light switch to get fan operation.
for corndo that has same problem you actually have a different problem. er dh means the control board is not sensing defrost heater operation. the most common culprit is a bad defrost sensor. message me back if you need instructions for trouble shooting..thx peyton

Error Code Er FF

ER FF - found in another post = Error Freezer Fan. Removed freezer back panel (inside freezer), defrosted ice build up around fan. Error message gone for now. Easy fix at midnight - 20 minutes. Will be looking into ice-up cause.
