Question about Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera
SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

What you need to do is, find your memory card that should be in your camera. If you look carefully, along one of the edges of your memory card (commonly found on left edge), there should be a mini switch that slides up and down. Try to slide it the other direction which may unlock the data in your memory card. Most memory cards should have the switch slided up to activate that data is unlocked and free to use.

I'm guessing you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. If your camera is more than a few couple years old, it's likely it was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with older cameras.
For older cameras, you'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.

The problem is your memory card. We can't fix it. The best solution is to buy a new one. Remember if you got an message error like that it shows that your memory card is going to be a dead set. don't use it again it may working for sometime's but suddenly its error appear again and picture got lost. USED A NEW ONE.
