First you should remove the hoses and clean the screens in the ends of the hose, some hoses have screens in both ends. While the hoses are removed look inside the water inlet valve there should be a screen in there also remove and clean the screen out. Some screens will not be removable so you will need to clean in place or remove the water inlet valve. If all is clear you will need to check the solenoids on the water inlet valve for power. If the solenoid has power when put in a fill cycle and no water eneters your washer you will need to replace the water inlet valve. If the buzz is coming from the solenoid replace the water inlet valve. Most water inlet valves must be replaced as a unit, so if one solenoid fails you replace the hole valve assembly. These are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is a video at that will walk you thru the testing procedure. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. If you need help disassembling there are also videos of disassembling most styles. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models will be available. All parts come with installation instructions.

My washer yesterday went through wash cycle just fine with warm water. Rinse cycle a few drops drip down and you hear a slight buzz but will not start flowing cold water.

Im assuming you have 2 water valves, A hot water valve and a Cold water valve. I suspect the inline filters are blocked. Switch the water tap/s off and unscrew the pipes off the machine side. Inside the valve entrance, there should be a sieve. using long nose pliers, pull both out and clean properly. Reinstall in same orser. Test now.

My GLTF 2940 makes a buzzing sound like a relay not pulling in all the way, during the rinse cycle. If you shut off the washer, and restart it on the rinse only cycle, it goes away.

its probably your cold water rinse only valves solenoid thats loose on the structure or the coil itself is loose, you may not hear it all the time especially during the initial wash start fill, try this, set the washer for cold water fill only on the washer, but turn off the water valves that supply water and start your machine to a wash cycle as normal, try this and see if it dry buzzes(without water),then try the same on the hot side, then with the water still off open up the machine and you can localize the buzzing noise

No hot water filling washer

Check to see if there is a filter located in the valve, remove and clean.
If still no hot water then disconnect hose and make sure you have actually got water at valve, if you have and it still does not come in, and you can hear a buzzing noise, then I would say that it is sticking and you have a faulty inlet valve, only solution is to replace said valve.
Plz rate my solution.

Can't get the cold water to turn on. I have 1. switched hoses 2. no kinks 3. water is turned on Model 1220

Is there a faint buzzing or humming noise coming from the water-inlet valve? (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If you can't hear anything, the water-inlet valve may not be getting any power. If you can hear some noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the water-inlet valve.

Buzzing noise! when the

sounds like you have a problem with the water solenoids (the electronic controlled water valves) the buzzing is an indication that it is trying to open or close and unable to do so. an electric current creates a magnetic field pulling a spring loaded valve sealed inside a tube allowing water to pass. it starts buzzing when it can't pull the valve all the way and just vibrates.

when switching on the machine, is there a slight buzzing from the rearm if so the water supply is not getting to the machine, if there is no buzzing and the water supply is ok (proven) then the fault could be an open circuit water solenoid (thats the valve in the machine that lets water in) this is a fairly simple repair, i take it you do have a separate supply for cold and hot to the machine hope i have helped, if so rate me please
