I just bought the SamsungRF267AB bottom freezer refrigerator.  Amoung the features that must be disabled for shabbos are the lights, motor cuttoff and inside panel indicators.  On most refrigerators there is a swich that you can tape in the depressed mode that will trick the unit into thinking the door is still closed.  With this unit it's magnetic.  you need to place a magnet on the top of the door frame to make the refigerator think the door is still closed.  I hope this helps.

SOURCE: top of fridge warm but bottom freezer working ok

there is also a fan in the freezer compartment which if broken will cause this problem. you need to check that both fans are working. please refer to other fridge posts here re repairing/ replacing the freezer fan- there is a document here which shows you exactly what you need to do. important thing is to switch off the appliance first and leave the freezer door open for about 20 minutes before attempting to remove the back cover ie let it warm up first, so that you don't break any of the panels.

I bought a fridge from liquidation a Kenmore model #59649539018 freezer works finebut the fridge is not cooling they changed the control panel but still not working

There should be a fan in the freezer that moves cold air into the fridge. The fan might not be working. The temp setting for the fridge is a door that opens and closes depending on the setting. Check to make sure it works.

What should the temp be for freezer and refrigerator?

dont know model, do know temps. The fridges highest temp is 5deg c, preferably between 1 and 4, if freezer goes above minus(-)18deg c your are in danger zone, there should be a regulator control in the fridge, usually on left or right hand side near front(door)

The freezer works just fine, but the fridge will not cool. I turned the unit off for about three hours. When I plugged the fridge back in, the freezer control clicked when I turned it past 3, and then...

If you have a setting that influences both chamber's temperatures, you do not have a separate temperature control for each; this would require two compressors. The common single temperature control actually sets the temp, of the freezer, and another control diverts some of the air into the refrigerator cabinet with a concealed fan.
The symptom you have is a common one and indicates that the fan that distributes cooled air has failed.
Since you didn't include the make and model of your unit, I can't give you a direct link or check for you so if you have the model number available, go to the link below and enter it there:

Freezer is frozen fridge is warm

Your model is most likely the Profile Artica style. Most times the defrost heater is burned out behind the rear of the freezer wall. Manually defrost and look at the defrost heater to see if burned out. That model possibly has the glass covered defrost heater and will be easy to spot if burned out because the element is inside a glass tube, If you replace the defrost heater also replace the defrost thermostat, Please send me your model number located near floor of the fresh food compartment door seal and kick plate, Thanks Sea Breeze

Freezer has frost building and the refridgerator is too warm.

make sure the evaporator fan is working, open door and push switch in if fan works make sure opening from freezer to fridge is not blocked. if door was removed make sure light in fridge is shuting off if temp in fridge is in the 50 degree range your light switch is not being deactivated check spacers between door and hinge . sometimes when door is removed a spacer will fall on floor and light switch is not hitting door

Temperature settings

I don't have any instructions for your particular model but usually you start in the middle and adjust up or down as needed. (example if lettered A B C D E start with C). Most (but not all) refrigerators have an off position on either the refrigerator or the freezer but not both. Whichever control has a definate off position controls the coldness in both. The other control just adjusts the difference between fridge and freezer. Almost all refrigerators have cooling coils only in the freezer, the fridge is cooled by blowing cold air from the freezer.

I have a zanussu fridge

Re. Zanussi ZK87/46EFS Fridge Freezer

The same symptom occurred in our fridge freezer. The fridge compartment warmed up whilst the freezer compartment continued to keep temperature.

The cause of our problem was diagnosed as a frozen sensor that controls a flap, that controls the flow of cold air from the freezer compartment up into the fridge compartment. We were advised to power off the fridge freezer (removing all food and trays from the freezer unit first), and to leave it to defrost for 24hrs. We needed to place a few towels on the floor of the freezer compartment to soak up the melt water. After 24hrs we followed the power up instructions in the manual (versions are available online if you have lost yours). Within a few minutes it was obvious that the fridge compartment was being cooled – Problem solved :)

Maytag fridge

Without knowing the type of fridge(side by side, freezer on top etc.) all I can offer is this: Somewhere between the freezer and the fridge there's an opening thermostatically controlled to transfer cold air from freezer to the fridge. Most have a fan to move the air. So either the fan (if so equipped) stopped, and need to replace, or opening is stuck closed, or plugged.
If freezer is working fine, this is the only problem I can think of.
Hope this helps
