Make sure you have fresh fuel mix in the tank. Pump the primer bulb about 6 times or less until the bulb draws fuel into it. This fills the carburetor with fuel. Close the choke and set the fast idle if the throttle trigger has a button near it--otherwise, operating the choke auto-sets the fast idle. Don't operate the throttle again until the engine is running. Turn on the ignition switch and pull the engine through smartly. It should start within several pulls. If nothing happens, then get back to us for some troubleshooting help. Hope this gets it running!

Races at idle

If the idle cannot be controled by the idle screw ( screw marked with an I or T on the side of the carb ) then you may well have an air leak through a crank seal or a gasket.

Timberline Knives Kommer Canoe Hatchet where can I buy in uk

I do not know where you can get this, but I always question a desire to use a hatchet on the trail. A small folding saw can do almost all of the same jobs, and is much lighter to carry and much safer to use. If you really need to split larger wood, then a small axe is way way better than a hatchet. When I need one, I take a 2.25 to 2.5 pound axe on a 26-28-inch handle. It can do everything a small hatchet can do and weighs only a few ounces more, while it can also do the work of a full-size axe if I really need it.
SAFETY: A sharp axe is much safer than a dull one because it will cut with less force, and will cut into the wood where and not bounce off.

I need to know the amount of oil to mix with one gallon of gas for 18 inch homelite chain saw

You need to mix 2.6 ounces of 2-cycle oil (NOT motor oil) with one gallon of fresh gas to get a 50 to 1 mixture. Most 2-cycle oil is sold in small bottles this size and have directions on them to get the correct mixture.

How to change the oil pump on the chainsaw model pcn 4545

Patrick;
I could not find anything matching the number you provided. I did find an electric saw "RY43006 Chain Saw" here (follow the instructions):
Homelite/Ryobi.com (authorized parts supplier)
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.
The numbers Homelite & Ryobi use do not match the numbers everyone posts. A careful inspection of your saw should find something that matches.

I think with the IPL as a disassembly guide replacement is pretty easy. There are a couple of hoses listed, I suspect one of them failed rather than the pump.

If this is not your saw please provide some different numbers (reply below) and I will try again. Good Luck. HTH
