Question about Microwave Ovens
If the microwave sounds like it is working but not heating, it could be a loose wire on the magnetron tube or the high voltage capacitor. if there is an abnormal low pitch hum, it could be a shorted capacitor, diode, or magnetron tube. Either way, diagnosis and repair is best made by a qualified servicer.
There are dangerous voltages present with all microwave ovens,
even when they are unplugged.
