Question about Denon AVR-2307 Receiver

1 Answer

I have an AVR-2307CI that toggles between different modes on it's own. No other remotes to worry about. Does it even when my remote has no batteries. It goes from SPEAKERS ON to MONO MOVIE to H/P something or other. I've tried to reset but no help. Any ideas? I spent $800 on this thing and now I may have to send it all the way to Chicago for repair. Unbelievable...

Just a wild guess.

Could it be seeing infrared commands ffrom somewhere else? Block the I/R receiver window and see if it stops. Then investigate whose garage door opener or security system may be activating it.

Can I make the Denon AVR-2307Ci receiver have a passthrough for 3D?

I believe it is like my Denon AVR-3808 as it's a HDMI v1.3 compliant. For 3D you need 1.4. So I now use optical cables to the AVR and HDMI to the TV. Then config the DNLA player to split the video to HDMI and the 5.1 sound to optical.

Denon AVR-1403 receiver switched from digital to analogue.

There are three modes (Auto, DTM, and PCM) on the input mode switch, on the main unit, selected by repeatedly pressing the input mode switch.

However, if you have already depressed the Analog button in, on the main unit you have predetermined the mode as analog.

On the remote, the INPUT MODE switch combines toggles for 5 choices, [Auto, PCM, DTS, Analog,
Ext. input]

My guess is that either the input mode switch on the main unit and/or the remote are toggled to analog.

Learning remote codes for my harmon kardon avr354

a) Place the two remotes so that their IR transmitters face each other
end to end, separated by about one inch. The
AVR 354 remote’s transmitter also serves as an IR receiver during
the learning process.– AVR 354 and Original Remote Head-to-Head

b) Press the Source Selector for the device mode you wish to learn
a code into, and place the AVR 354 remote in Learning mode by
pressing and holding the Learn Button until the Source Selector lights
up, then release.

Learning Remote Commands

c) Press the button on the AVR 350 remote you wish to program with
the new code, and the Source Selector will flash once. You may
learn a new code into the following buttons: Device Power On/Off,
Alphanumeric Keys, Last Button, Back/Exit Button, Menu Button, Navigation Buttons, OK Button, Disc Menu Button,
the four Teletext Buttons, Channel Up/Down, Volume Up/Down,
Mute and the Transport Controls (including Record).

d) Press and hold the button on the device’s original remote whose
code you wish to “learn” until the Source Selector flashes three
times, then release.

e) You may program additional buttons by repeating steps c) and d).
Press the Learn Button once to exit Learning mode, or wait for the
remote to “time out” and exit Learning mode on its own after about
30 seconds.
