Actually I went to the service center and they say that it is really just faulty buttons. There may have been water seeping in or something. But minimally, the cost of repairing that and replacing tat is at least $50-$120 sing dollars with no guarantee that the new buttons will work... so I just bought a new phone..

On your phone you need to get a new keypad for it if that does not work (or you have already tried it) then you need to get the phone opened and cleaned (if it is just certain numbers or otherwise) hope it helped

I want to format my ipaq hx2410 please tell me how to do that

To perform a hard reset you need to press buttons 1 and 4 in addition to the reset hole. This should do the trick.

The guidelines for resetting your phone is given below

Performing a Hard Reset

Perform a hard reset only when you want to clear all
user-installed settings, applications, and data from RAM
(Random Access Memory), where data and applications you have
loaded are stored.

CAUTION: If you perform a hard reset, your Pocket PC loses all data
and programs not saved in iPAQ File Store.

To perform a hard reset:

1. Press and hold down the Calendar and iTask buttons.
2. While holding down these buttons, use the stylus to
lightly press the Reset button on the bottom of the iPAQ
Pocket PC for about two seconds.

3. When the Pocket PC screen begins to fade, release the
Calendar and iTask buttons first, and then remove the stylus
from the Reset button.

Note: If you simultaneously push and hold the Reset, Calendar,
and iTask buttons for more than two seconds, the battery
disconnects. To restart the device, either plug the device into the
AC Adapter or press the Reset button again.
After performing a hard reset, you may need to reinstall
applications stored in iPAQ File Store to restore shortcuts and full
functionality.

4. The Pocket PC resets and powers on.

To return your iPAQ Pocket PC to factory settings after
performing a hard reset:

1. Tap Start > Programs > File Explorer > My Device.
2. Tap the iPAQ File Store folder to open it.
3. Tap Edit > Select All.
4. Tap and hold the selected files, then tap Delete.
5. Tap Yes to delete all file in iPAQ File Store.

I´ve a pda hp h5455 that don´t start , i´ve tried to do a hard reset and charge it via USB and nothing hapens

To do the hard reset, while on battery (NOT A/C) power, hold down the two outside front-panel buttons (Calendar and iTask), While holding them, press the reset button with the stylus. Keep these buttons all pressed until the image on the screen begins to fade (about 4 seconds), then you can release the reset and application buttons. To restart your iPAQ, you must then plug the unit into A/C power, or do a Soft Reset by again, pressing the reset button with the stylus.

Non-responsive buttons

i had a similar problem where it kept lokcing up and being really slow, unfortunately i had to do a hard reset ( sets the phone back to its original settings ) and after that it worked fine, i think the problem was that i had to many aftermarket programs on it that stay running in the backround once they were gone it was back to norma.

Sony ericsson k810i no sound

Hi,

Have you tried to turn on the call volume? On the right side of the phone you will see two buttons, up and down.

Try making a call. Then, while on the call and before you hang-up, press the button on the right side of your phone, the one with the arrow pointing up. You will see a volume indicator on the screen. If you press the up button again and again the volume will go up until it reaches a satisfactory level.. Perhaps your volume is set to very low.

Hope this helps...

Dimitris.

Lying ipaq H5550!

It's a problem with either the memory board or the button board. With my h5550, the bottom buttons started to stop working and eventualy the PPC stoped charging all together. You can find parts for it online. If all the buttons are working fine, then it's most likely the motherboard. Otherwise it should be the button board.

Hard Reset

On the front pannel you have the 4 buttons and the central navigation key. Press simultaneous the first and the last of this buttons (1 and 4) and then with your stylus (while keeping these buttons pushed) press the soft reset button (bottom of the device, a small hole). Keep these pressed alltogether for 4-5 sec then release them and do a soft reset. Your PDA should now be in factory settings. If not, try again. It will work.
