TRITON Trance electric shower

I have a triton trance shower unit (approx 1 yr old) which recently tripped for no apparent reason. since then the water runs luke warm on the normally hot setting and there is no obvious signs of a drop in water pressure. I assumed that the isolation switch (pull cord) was damaged so i have changed which has had no affect on the tempreture. The shower is still hot but only on the highest setting with limited water coming out.
Any suggestions?

I have a Triton Trance shower and have the exact same problem , it tripped out, then when power is put back on it does not heat the water properly. This happend before to a Triton Trance i had previously , i replaced it with the Trance i have now for ease of intallation. In both cases the showers are only about 18 months old. I will now be going to another maker to replace it.

My Triton shower Eco Excite 8.5kW keeps tripping fuse when turned on !!

Could be a pump jam, do you have hard water ? Could be scale build up.
Is the shower head blocked ? Unscrew just the head (leaving the hose line attached to shower) and try again. If that is the blockage, then clean it with descaler.
Also check you have a good pressure on your water supply going in the Triton. Low pressure can set off safety switches. Again, check for blockages.
Check also for breaks in wiring and check there is no water ingress at any and all connections.
Is it an old unit ? Is it serviced regularly ? .......finally....
are all the settings set to MAX ? if so then use lowest setting first.
If it works then move settings up gradually until it trips.
Any filters need to be checked if possible.
Good luck Red.

I have a triton trance 2nd generation electic shower that is a couple of years old when you turn the flow on it comes out red hot but as you increase the flow it gets colder as flow is increased what is...

Is it possible to have plumber come inspect? Warranty from purchase place? Since you don't sound you put it in I'm guessing a plumber did? It would've been new to him for the most part and he may have hooked something up wrong? You CAN DIY but realize that we're talking electric AND plumbing here. I'm thinking since it heats up the electric is fine. But check your man's work to see if it's got the 30-45A fuse on a dedicated circuit.
Steps
1.While out ay elect. box turn OFF by removing fuse or switching to OFF. Test unit that it only runs cold water.
2. Find shut off for water. Sometimes you have to shut off whole house! Hopefully somebody added a shutoff. Look on backside of shower for a 1'x1' hatch covering with a cold and hot valve. Turn water off. Test unit to see if it runs.
3. Now use the manual below and get in there and see if its hooked up right. Go slow and take your time. Retrace the install instructions.

Best wishes. Wear nitrile gloves for peace of mind!

DON'T do it if you're not aware of the electrocution issue. Water all over your bathroom (loo?) is one thing, a 230v shock is another!

The water flow from my triton electric shower does not stop even after unit is switched off

28487001 is not an electronic shower head made by Hansgrohe. It is an overhead shower head that has no electronic parts. Triton is a completely different company. If you have an electronic shower system by Triton you will need to contact Triton. If you have a Hansgrohe product feel free to contact Hansgrohe at 1-800-334-0455.

According to me, you should contact to a professional that really helps you to get rid of this major problem. A professional can easily identify the problem regarding the triton shower.

Turned on a triton trance electric shower it was working ok then it stopped coming out of the shower head and coming out of the overflow pipe at the bottom of the shower unit

The overflow pipe is a pressure relief device which is a small rubber ball that get's ejected when the water pressure inside the shower is too high. You will need to get a spare part to replace this. These generally operate because the showerhose is in poor condition and has collapsed internally, or the showerhead has become clogged up so check these things first.
Good luck.

My triton martinique electric shower low pressure light comes on and the water goes cold but there is nothing wrong with the pressure

Hi,

I had a brand new Triton Rapide 3 with this issue, we had good water pressure but the light on the front would keep coming on.

I found there was a micro switch located at the front almost dead center of the shower, couldn't miss it when you removed the cover. A plastic arm below this switch is raised when the water pressure increases tripping this switch and allowing the heater to come on.

I found two things wrong with this, one this plastic leaver was thin and bent easily and secondly the switch did no line up overly well with the lever. Easily fixed, I cut an inch off the end of a zip tie or panduit strap, and super-glued it to the top of the lever (not the switch as the glue will probably ruin the micro switch.) 5 minute job later and with the shower back together it works beautifully. My wife will be happy, you wouldn't believe the torrid of curses I got this morning having only replaced the old unit last night.

Probably don't need to say this but, make sure you isolate the power before removing the cover.

Triton electric shower runs cold

hi it sounds as though the thermostat has gone on top of the can assembly, or moreover it has scaled up & the element needs replacing, if thats the case your better off buying a new unit as the cost of the can assembly & the fitting it will be nearly as much, plus witha new unit you'll be getting a 2 yr guarantee?
Just a thought!
