Question about Computers & Internet
I'm trying to set up my Asus Wireless WL-520GC router for use with my Asus laptop and having problems. I've got the modem connected to the router via WAN but it won't go any further. It tells me there is an error without telling me what it is. Can anyone help?
Is the problem that "nothing coming from the modem to the router"
if the router has more than one Lan port try the cable from the modem to the router, in the first lan port or the last port.
if its a wireless problem, ensure wireless is enabled on the laptop and the router,if you set up a security key ensure that it is put into the laptop wireless setting
sometimes you need to turn on the modem first then turn the router on after a little while to sort the ip address out before trying to connect the laptop, in the first instance.
hope this is of some help but more info would be good
