Please check if the air flow is blocked." According to the Mitsubishi website, this issue is caused by a loose connection as a result of a faulty thermal sensor. For models: WD-73727, WD-73827, WD-73927, WD-73732, WD-7383, the most encountered repair problem has been in relation to the optical engine. Another common situation consumers have encountered is failure of the TV to turn on along with unceasing flashing of the green power light. The solution for this problem, caused by the DM board, will vary by repairman. Consumers have also encountered issues with moving vertical or horizontal lines appearing on the screen which can either be due to problems with the capacitor, light engine, or formatter board. Make sure all bad caps are changed.

I suspect to look and see if the lamp is firing first. If it is not firing then suspect that first. Also some models suffer from faulty capacitors on the digital board that will require the help from a television technician.

Where can i buy a color wheel for a mitsubishi wd-73831

The color wheel from Mitsubishi PN# 938P030010 is the part that you are looking for.
But I could not find anyone on the internet that can sell you one.
You may try calling Mits, but they are going to suggest that you call a local servicer to diagnose your set and you are looking at 350-400.
