Your monitor shouldn't require a driver to function properly. What operating system are you using? Are you getting error messages or pop-ups from lack of driver or?

V7 S20PD monitor goes blank after 1 second!

This is usually caused by one of the inverter transformers that drive the backlights, or the backlight itself. The capacitors should not be ruled out, to fix it will be expensive venture.

What type of cable power supply do I need for a V7 L17PS monitor? I got this monitor for free but no cables came with it. Thanks

Looks like it takes a 19V 3.42A Power supply.
Look on the back of the monitor near the power jack and find where it says "input"
If it says 19V 3.42A then this is what you want:

I wish to have the code number for my V7 to use the skymaster romote

In case you can't find your brand at code number list, please try with quick search.
1) Set the device that you want to control at POWER ON or VCR at POWER ON with tape loaded
2) Press and hold both, [SET] and aquivalent device key, until LED light shows
up, then release both keys.
3) Press [SET] again, the LED is blinking now. Start to page by pressing [POWER]
and check for any action such as POWER OFF or VCR start to play.
4) If your device has action then check other keys such as [CH +/-] or [VOL
+/-], if negative continue pressing [POWER] to search another code page.
5) While during paging a code was missed out you may press [SET] to change
the Forward / Backward direction of searching.
6) IF any key is not pressed within 30 seconds at search mode then unit will
quit and return to STAND-BY mode.

Check the code number that has called up to the keypad by pressing [SET]

together with (one after the other) the first three keypad digits:

For example, if is blinking 8 times, 1st digit of code number is [8],

blinking twice means 2nd digit is [2], blinking twice means 3rd digit is

[2], therefore, this code number is [822].

What size is the power socket lead is it 5.5 outer and 2.5 inner thanks for your help

From my repair experience, 5.5 OD and 2.5 ID is commonly use on the power supply adapter since 2.5mm is made to handle higher current than the 2.1mm (2.1mm is usually for 2A or less).
Center is also positive.
But your can also be 6.5mm OD x 3mm ID. I would try Radi Shack, that is where I get the DC barrel connector in case of emergency repair.

17" lcd monitor V7

90% of LCD monitors failures are due to bad caps, as you can see in my albums.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

V7 L17PS speakers wont play sound. do i need to connect something to the tower?

You need to connect an audio cable with stereo miniphone plugs at both ends (Radio Shack), one end goes into the audio line out (green jack) on the PC, another goes into audio line in (green jack) of the monitor. Set the volume conrtrol on the monitor about 1/2 way up, then adjust the volume at the PC.

V7 blinks as it struggles

If you can hear a very high pitched whistle from the back of the monitor and it's randomly blinking chances are there is a bad capacitor in the monitor. These aren't very difficult to fix if you are skilled in electronics, if not however, then the monitor is going to cost too much to fix for it to be worth it.
