U will need to remove the washer drum and check the washer drum stablizers and the washer drum bearing, do this to see what is wrong and how far u need to go in this repair.First open the door and spin the inner tub to make sure the tub spins freely, if not you have big problems.

If it does then remove the lower front panel. There are 3 screws along the very bottom of this panel that you can remove and then the panel will come off. Check to make sure the shocks are not cracked or broken under the tub. If not and the unit just recently started shaking a lot, then replace the shocks as they are probably worn out. If it's been shaking since the day you've gotten it and it just seems to have gotten a little worse, then purchase Shake Away pads which are specifically designed for front load washers to sit under the feet of the washer and reduce vibration dramatically.

if the washer tub hangs up and doesn't spin freely then u have big trouble, it means that there is an issue with your bearing which requires and entire outer tub as well as the shaft which is part of the inner tub. It's about a $700 repair and often times people just replace the unit but that is a decision for you to make

yes it still applies, bearing or stabilizer struts, u will need to see if the drum spins freely, also is it easy to move it from side to side and back and forth, the elite series is both front and top, so need exact model number to ID washer, kenmore doesn't make this (they don't manufacture anything for that matter), they only attach there name.

sounds like the washer is not level, underneath the washer are 4 legs that are adjustable, you just turn them up or down. one of them may be to high.

When washer spins it makes a loud banging noise, washer is a front load kenmore

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Anytime loud noises are heard, it can almost always be traced back to the drive motor. That is what controls the spinning. Check that and the spin bearing. One of these two are probably your problem. Make sure the washer is level though. Check the suspension.

My Kenmore Elite 3T washer has a loud whistling noise in the spin cycle. ??? Thanks!

Hi.

When that happens it is often because the drum bearing is starting to go. The first symptom is a loud high pitched noise during the spin part of the cycle. As problem gets worsening you will notice that the drum will be a bit wobbly if you spin it by hand.

Here parts and diagrams.

Regards.

Ginko.

My kenmore elite top loader has a loud banging noise when spinning

Disconnect power to the washer then tape the lid closed. Lay the washer carefully on its front panel on a padded surface then check the four suspension spring/rod assembly. Make sure the suspension doors are properly attached to the outer tub to prevent an off balance situation that may lead to the banging of the basket to the outer tub during the spin cycle. Also ensure the machine is balanced and properly or evenly seated on the floor.
