All you need is driver for your kingston 2gb pen drive and you can find it at kingston website

Windows 98 will probably need drivers installed before it can recgonize a USB flash drive:
I don't know which specific model of kingston drive you have, but if you go to this link, select the right model, and click on 'download win98 drivers' that should work.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

First, your Windows XP must be either SP2 or SP3, and then you must add a patch to it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955704/en-us that is KB955794 for the patch

Hello,
Download the driver and install it.

Installing the drivers
Before installing the drivers, it is important to know that there are
2 main versions of Windows 98, and they both handle USB differently.
You must install the appropriate version of the drivers dependent upon
your version of Windows 98. In order to determine your Windows version,
please do the following:
