My roommate has gone through 3 lamps in the last year. I figured he was doing something wrong so I pulled the bulb out to see if it was the right one and it said y67 not y66 which is what the tv indicates on the back.

Toshiba tv mw24f52 usb not recognized

Try using different USB. If you have too many files on the USB at the root itself, instead of under sub-folder, you might encounter this problem as the TV may not have enough memory to load it. Just refer to your operation manual for formats supported.

It seems the IR has gone out on our Toshiba 27AF44. We are told we need to provide a part number in order to have it fixed, but cannot find that number. Help??

Hello

The infrared sensor of your Toshiba Tv seems to be of normal type to which most of the colur tVs uses. You can check it with fitting an other number instead of the present one, and will work I thinks. It is a three terminal sensor, a standard remote sensor is used. Toshiba may printed some code of their own to it, that is all. OK.

The tv i have is an 52 inch big screen. The model number is 50hmx96, the serial number is 30405011,and finally the lamp number is y66lmp and that is where my problem comes in, i was watchting the tv and...

Looking at the back of the TV the lamp door is on the bottom left. Loosen the one screw holding it on. Remove the lamp door. Inside is the lamp unit. Loosen the two screws on the left of the lamp unit. Grab the handle on the lamp unit and pull it straight out. You may want to vacuum the dust (and glass) off at this point. Slide the new lamp unit straight into TV until it's fully seated. Tighten the two screws on the lamp unit. Re-install the door and tighten the screw. Lightweight gloves are recommended for this procedure.

toshiba web statement says they wont issue the codes for remotes as they want to sell you a new one. Thats fine, mine wasn't broken, i simply wanted to use my freeview remote instead. i found the answer by going to top up tv's web site.

That I don't think you can do - the CC is fed by the digital tuner, while the subtitles are fed by the DVD player.

A toshiba SD-37VSR DVD player that the TV will not recognize

if you are using the hdmi or DVI ports you need to make sure that both the player and tv are HDCP compliant (it will say on the box usually) otherwise, try using a different output from the player going into the tv. (try the composit or component instead of the digital outputs)

Toshiba TV fails to recognize HDMI input

If the tv does all those symptoms but after some seconds the tv works and stays doing the job. THen the tv has a slow microprocessor to recognice the different resolutions or video inputs.

But if the tv cannot do anything and stay aout of signal forever. send the tv to the waranty. (no waranty? you have to use the component input instead to have digital signal reproduced

Need codes to access TV menus

The solution relies with the remote. press the menu button and use the +/- buttons beside it instead of the volume or channel buttons. This TV was at a work camp in northern Alberta and the instructions were not available. Hope this helps others who do not have instructions available.

Toshiba 24AF41 TV won't turn on.

nothing can destroy your tv. you can connect anything if connection is there. We connected the TV with a VCR and a DVD player. Usually we switched it to the Video 1 for nothing instead of turn off the TV. Is TV still working in this way? Will this destroy TV? I appreciate any of your helpful comments can you clear the above sentence so I can help you.
