Hi Gail. On the right side, rear lower corner, you will find a cover that's about,oh 5 inches wide and about 15 inches tall.It is secured by 2 screws at the top and has 2 small "legs" at the bottom that fit into the frame of the copier to keep the bootom in place.Remove the top 2 screws and allow the cover to "tilt"away from from the copier top first.Look down and you will see the "legs" and the notches they go in for re-installation.Once the cover is removed the waste toner bottle is exposed.Slide it out and pour it into a trashbag, being careful not to spill it or cause an inordinate amount of airborne waste toner.Reinstall.NOW,for this model Canon you actually have to tell the device you have emptied the bottle. You will need to go into service mode. You do this by pressing the ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS button, then release it,then press the numbers 2&8 at the same time, release, then ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS again. That a 3 step process that will bring up the service mode screen. Press COPIER.You will see several tabs across the screen at the very top..The tab at the far right says COUNTERS.Press it.New screen shows up.Press MISC in the lower left corner. You will see FIX-WEB and WST-TNR.Select WST-TNR.To the right of this field you will see a value that's probably around 300,000.Now go to your 9 key pad and at the bottom you will see a "C" which means clear.Press the "C" and the value next to the WST-TNR box should clear.CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Have a good day. :-)

Waste toner

You have to "tell" the printer that you have "emptied" the receptacle. Depending on the model of printer, you may either need to replace it, or use the controls on the printer to "logically" do a "reset" operation.

Lower rear right portion has a small vertical panel held by one screw. The waste bottle is behind this panel.

Canon NP6050 Waste Toner Cartridge

You can do it on your own. There's actually instructions on the LED display but it went something like:
1) open front (access door for toner area)
2) Slide blue handle up to open position.
3) Remove was toner receptacle.
Now since I didn't have a new waste toner, I just dumped out all the toner and re-inserted it. I imagine there may be some repurcussions or the toner is hazardous, I'm not sure. I'll actually get the waste toner cartridge for next time though.

The E000019-0000 error message simply means the waste toner is full. There is an optical beam that passes through the top of the waste toner container and when the beam gets interrupted, you will get this message. If you have the same model printer/copier (Canon IR 3300) series, unplug the machine for your safety and you will need a screw driver to remove the lower left side panel towards the back to pull out the waste toner receptacle. Dump, Clean, and replace. That should clear up the error message. Hope this helps. ~Angela~

How to empty waste toner on an NP6030

Hello Efren. You will need to replace the drum.On your machine, the toner that could not be transferred to the paper (there is always a small amount of the copied image that cannot be successfully be transferred to the paper and must therefore be removed to make the drum ready for the next image) is deposited into a receptacle inside the drum. The copier has a sensor that lets it know that this receptacle is full. So despite the fact that the drum may still have a useful surface for making future copies it does not have the ability to store the waste toner. If you know how to replace the drum, I am pretty sure that this model can have the drum "cavity" either emptied or vacuumed in effort to squeeze out more yield than the manufacturer hoped you could if you know what I mean. Look for a a round plastic plug/orifice which can be removed and either emptied(be careful) or vacuumed. I hope I have helped you, I will gladly help you further if you need. SPINAL

If the copier indicated to empty the waste toner you will have to reset in the counter in service mode. Press the additional functions key, the 2 & 8 keys at the same time, then the additional function key again. This should get you into service mode. If not depress the reset key and try again. Once there at the top right you will see counter. Depress it then you should see a menu and depress MISC. Depress WST-TNR, then depress "C" on keypad. Counter should go to all 0's. I think that the waste toner message displays at 250,000 copies made.
