Did you set ur resolution screen setting higher than 1024 in ur computer panel resosulion setting?Yes than that is ur problems right there.CRT monitors modes are based on old technologies ,CRT monitors can't go up more than 1024 resolution setting.Setting resolution more than 1024 resolution for CRT models monitors will have thesse causes. The screen resolution on the screen will shrink and get smaller or will not have video resolution on the CRT monitors screens at all.Only LCD or LED monitors models can support and go higher than 1024 resolution setting has none of these causes.Time to upgrade for a new monitors technologies like LCD or LED monitors models.

3. In the Screen Resolution section you can adjust the resolution to what your video card and monitor can support.

Note with wide screen monitors you will be able to select non wide screen resolutions so you may need to adjust the settings to get the best resolution for your monitor. Also it is recommended that you install any drivers for your monitor so that the video card can communicate to the monitor properly for the best display settings.

How do I adjust web page to fit display screen

There is the Zoom option in the View menu if you are using IE. You can set it to 100%. With IE8 you can use F11 to set it to display on full screen. Unless you need to set the screen resolution, width and height for your monitor, those should work for you. Pressing Ctrl key and scrolling your mouse will adjust the zoom of web page too, quicker way.

Pop up of monitor adjust screen

Hi, you probably have to set the correct resolution that fits on your monitor. The correct resolution is: 1920x1200 You can set it by right-clicking on your desktop and choosing "Screen Resolution" in Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you use Windows XP, right-click on your desktop and choose "Properties" Then open the rightmost tab to choose the resolution

Need to get screen size to show all . cant see

Things to check: Are your display settings set to "native resolution" of your screen. The native resolution is the actual dimensions (in pixels) of your flat-panel screen.
Looks like the Dell E153FP 15" has a native resolution of 1024x768. In windows, go to your control panel, in display settings, and ensure the resolution is set to 1024x768.
If that does not work, you can try the "auto adjust" feature on the monitor. On many Dell monitors, you can get this by pressing and holding the + button (on the monitor). You'll see the words "auto-adjust" appear on the screen if this works. If that doesn't work, you may be able to find auto adjust by navigating the menues in your monitor's menu, which you can get to by pressing the "menu" button on your monitor (sometimes this looks like a little rectangle icon). If it's an alignment problem, this should fix it right away.
If neither of the above work, it's probably your video card. Make sure your video card drivers are the correct ones for your card and OS, and up to date. You can also mess with display options under Control Panel > Display, under the "settings" tab, and at the bottom click the "Advanced" button, and it will bring up the advanced settings for your videocard.
Good luck!

My newer flat screen monitor went black but works fine when hooked up to another computer and I have an older monitor that I hooked up and the older one works fine...??

That sounds like a display/resolution setting problem on your PC. I doubt there is anything actually wrong with the PC or the monitor, since both work with different combinations, so its most likely just a setting.

Some monitors don't display anything when they get a signal/resolution that is not compatible with their displays. I would try changing the display settings on your computer with your old monitor, then switch monitors and see if your newer monitor works.

Here's how to adjust the display resolution:
If in XP, right-click on the desktop and go to Properties, and select the tab for display settings and adjust/lower the resolution. If in Vista/Win7 right-click the desktop and select Screen Resolution/Display Settings and adjust it there.

Having the same problem as others, my 912n monitor is a black

The problem seems to be that the computer, do not recognize “which monitor’s connected?” Follow these steps to correct the problem: Shutdown the monitor, next shutdown the computer. Unplug” the monitor, from the power outlet. Disconnect all cables on the Monitor from the computer. Next, reconnect all cables, and power, in the reverse order. Start computer first! Turn on the monitor, (right) click on an empty area of your Desktop Screen; next click Personalize, click Display Settings, click Identify Monitor. At this point, the monitor should be present, click on monitor. To finalize the application, click Apply! Next, click (OK). To “Fix” the (Resolution): Part: (1) Click Display Settings, adjust “resolution.” Click, Advanced Settings, “click” Properties, click on Drivers, “click” Update Drivers; click “OK!” Part: (2) Right click on “Desktop”, (in the upper area) check if the Graphic ™ Control Center is visibly presents, if so, click to open. You can adjust the Graphic Settings. Click “Apply” next, “OK” when finished! Restart the computer. I hope this Fix it.

The monitor is giving a zoomed in view . its not giving the full view of the desktop screen rather a section of it is zoomed in . there are no settings to zoom out .??

ur setting may be set to low resolution...
try doing this
go to Desktop/right click/properties/Settings/Screen Resolution/
What do u c...what's the resolution there...800x600...
if the slider(pointer) is active use it to increase it to say 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024 etc.
use the correct resolution....as too much of resolution will make ur monitor un-viewable...
also try if ur monitor has some press button on them to make changes to the correct setting/zooming of the screen image...

I cant fit the whole image on the screen. The options to adjust only allow me to adjust the width...it wont let me show both the top of my windows open AND the start button.

Your resolution may be set to high on the computer. Or you have a standard screen resolution set and since the monitor is a wide screen, it is cutting it off.
Try a different resolution 1440x900 is what the va1930wm uses.
If using a laptop with a standard type screen on it, you may have to set the laptop to just light the monitor to allow this setting to take.
Since this monitor is a wide screen, it may have options in the menu to stretch or zoom on an image if the resolution is not set to a wide screen format.

I have a Dell monitor and the text is blurry and fuzzy, how do I fix this?

this is actually from dell support website.. hope it will correct your problem...

1 Ensure the correct resolution is set for the monitor. Flat panel monitors display the sharpest, clearest images when set to their optimal resolution. Sometimes games and other programs will change the resolution then fail to set it back once they are closed. This will then make the desktop look big, distorted, and grainy. Perform the following steps to adjust the resolution:
  1. Right-click an empty area of the desktop, and then click Properties. (Or, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.)

  2. In the Display Properties window, click the Settings tab.

  3. Under Screen resolution, move the slider to the desired setting. For most flat panels the optimal setting will be all the way to the right.

  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

  5. If prompted, restart the computer.
NOTE: If the resolution will not adjust to the appropriate settings, the video driver may need to be reinstalled or updated.

2 Ensure the screen is clean. Finger prints and smudges will make the screen look blurry. Clean the screen with a soft lint free cloth. If needed, dampen the cloth with warm water or use a LCD cleaning kit that can be purchased from most electronics stores.
3 Use the On Screen Display (OSD) on the monitor to select the Auto Adjust feature. Selecting this will synch the video signal and can sharpen the video image.
4 Reseat the video signal cable to ensure a secure connection.
5 Use the On Screen Display (OSD) on the monitor to select the Factory Reset feature.
6 Test the monitor on another computer or test another monitor on this computer. If available, testing different hardware will isolate if the problem stays with the computer or monitor
