Clean the glass with IsoPropyl Alcohol. Dont use any other solvent. A speck of dust stuck to the glass can give a continuous line in the output

You might be able to get parts from a company called CPS based in Cheltenham there telephone number is 01242285103 they mentioned that they had a couple of scanners for sale

If the lines are in the same location for all scanned outputs, it is clearly dust on the scanner glass. Clean it thoroughly.

There's either a problem with the power supply or the control board, most likely the control board. Have you tried running the diagnostics yet?
