Hi,

You may try to check the printing options from the print setup menu while printing. Selecting the right "paper size" , "paper type" and "paper tray" options may solve the problem.

If not, the pproblem may be from the paper sensors of the printer (may be dirty etc.).
You ay also try to reset the error message.

Hope this helps.

    Hi,

It may not be a driver problem, but anyway the printer driver which you may download clicking here , enables you to use CX-550 on the Windows98/Me/2000/XP computer. If your operating system is one of them and if you did not installed the compatible drivers you may install and try.

Is your other printer working with different PC? If it is, try this one with the other PC whether printing or not.

Also you may install the firmware update driver of the printer.

But if it isn't software/driver problem, I don't have any other idea.

    Best wishes.

Lexmark X544 continually jams paper.

Please make sure that the paper settings on the printer is in sync form the application (e.g Microsoft word), Make sure the output or mailbox option is aligned correctly with the printer. If there is any slight angle between the printer and the option, it can cause the paper to jam in the option, check the condition of the paper.

You should use only clean, undamaged paper designed for laser printers. Remove the paper and fan the edge to make sure it is not sticking together.

Next, make sure that the paper is properly loaded. The edge guides should be snug against the paper without causing it to buckle. Do not force paper into the printer.

Finally, check that there are no obstructions in the paper path.

We spend a large portion of our day desperately trying to load paper and always getting the "paper loaded with too much skew" message. The paper is straight and on the blue line, i'd love to trun...

What type of paper are you using? It's common on cheap canvas or fabrics. Make sure the beginning of the roll about 10 inches must be straight in right side (blue line side). The paper slips upward freely and straight before lowering blue lever. Also this problem appears when your room is dry (low moisture) then PP sticker and some photo paper will curl. This checking feature is very useful for printing on whole roll in a single feed.

Epson stylus sx515w paper will not feed properly

pls make sure that you loaded the paper correctly.
Open the paper support and pull up the extensions. Open the output tray and pull out the extensions. Then flip up the paper stopper on the last extension, unless you’re printing on legal-size paper. . Flip the feeder guard up, out of the way, then squeeze the edge guide and slide it left. Insert paper, printable side up, against the right side and beneath the tab. Load paper short edge first, no matter which way your document faces.
Load letterhead or pre-printed paper top edge first.
Do not load paper with holes punched in it.
Do not load transparencies.
Do not load paper above the paper.4.3.4.jpg arrow on the edge guide.
Check the paper package for any additional loading instructions. 5. Slide the edge guide to the edge of the paper, but not too tightly. if you put the paper correctly and still not feeding the paper correctly, that means the rollers of the printer is broken

How to load paper

Your model has two trays on the front. The bottom one of these two is where you load the blank paper.
1. Raise the output tray to load paper into the main input tray.
2. Slide the paper-width guide to its outermost position.
3. Tap a stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges, and then check the paper for the following:
• Make sure it is free of rips, dust, wrinkles, and curled or bent edges.
• Make sure all the paper in the stack is the same size and type.
4. Insert the stack of paper into the main input tray with the short edge forward and the side to be printed down. Slide the stack of paper forward until it stops.
5. Slide the paper-width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper.
Do not overload the main input tray; make sure the stack of paper fits within the main input tray and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.
6. Lower the output tray.
7. Pull the output tray extender towards you, as far as it will go.

I hope this helps!

HP DesignJet 430 rejecting media

When you load the paper, the carriage edge detector measures exactly where the right edge of the paper is located. Then the paper is rolled forward and the edge is measured again. If there is a difference in the measurements, the printer assumes the paper is not loaded squarely and rejects the paper. After you load the paper and the printer asks you to align the paper, take your time, release the paper with the release lever, and line up the right edge of the paper with the right edge of the paper roll. You might have to do it more than once to get it to load. Some plotters are very sensitive and others are more forgiving.

Leading edge detection error When loading paper into printer this is displayed on the lcd scren

This is caused when the size paper loaded into the machine does not match the size the machine expected. Check the paper size settings to ensure you are using the correct paper setting. This also can be caused if paper loaded does not align correctly.

Make sure the paper aligning slides are tight to the sides of the paper. In the case that they are spring loaded make sure there is not something preventing them from holding the paper properly aligned.
The print head could be 'off-track'...
If the text is properly aligned on the edge of the page, but appears crooked it is related to the print head assembly. If the text is not aligning to the edge of the page then the paper is not feeding straight and the paper aligning slides are at fault.
It is also possible that one of the paper feed rollers are not grasping the paper and it is forcing it to one side as it pulls it in.

Loading cut sheets

Try to check the paper media set on the plotter (roll/plain paper). It usually happens if paper media is not the same with the plotter setting. To change it, unload the paper, press the media button on the printer to the right media and load the paper again. It should work now.

EPSON RX500 PRINTER

Hi Dean; It sounds like it's a simple case of the miss-alignment of the paper sensors used to check the alignment of the paper in the tray. Many of the printers today use some type of sensor to detect the paper. Even thought the paper is loaded correctly the sensor could be missaligned. I would check the printer by first loading a page in the tray then turn the power off. Open the cover and examen the tray parpiculary around the edge of the paper. There should be a slot on both sides that sense that the paper is loaded. If either one is not contacting the paper it sends a measage to the processor that the paper is jamed. which will shut down the printer. Most sensors have a way to align them. Some are alligned using a screwdriver and some sensors are mounted on a metal bracket that can be adjusted by bending it into position. Another thing to look for is an accumulation of dust in the tray. If the sensor is a mico-switch it could porvent it from working freely. Cleaning the tray with some computer wipes will alimnate the dust problem. Sometimes a can of compressed air can be used for cleaning areas that are hard to reach any other way. Hope this helps Bruce
