I looked up the model but could not find any information. But I can tell you how to check. If you look at the back or side connectors you will find DVI-I/DVI-D or HDMI connectors (photo below). If they are there then it is HD ready.

    HDMI connector

To confirm it look up in the user manual the page of specifications of this TV. There are two main types of HD TV; 1366x768 or 1920x1280i or 1080p. If these are the resolution specs then it is indeed HD ready. Further note that a 'true' HD has 1920x1080p resolution. By true it means that its the best resolution at present.

    Also you can contact Sansui:

Brought a logic hd ready tv yesterday but can't

You will still need a HD box connected to the TV to send a Hi Def signal to the Televisions display, A la HD "ready" TV's. I know I had my 1st for over a year before ever seeing even 720 let alone 1080 ><.

The hd box does not have hdmi over ride unlike the scart output. You havent said if this is hd ready tv if so most TVs will stay on the same av/hd input.

No this TV is not HD ready. However it is digital (ATSC) ready meaning now that most of the analog brodcasts have stopped it will receive the digital broadcasts so you don't need a converter box. Since it can only display 480i resolution it is not HD ready. You would need a TV that can display 720p or better to be considered HD ready.

Your TV is an "HD-Ready" television. What this means is that your TV is ready to accept HD input from an outside source, but doesn't have the ability to produce the content itself. It is a monitor and does not have a digital tuner. Without a digital tuner (or for cable a QAM tuner) you will not receive OTA broadcast HD.

You need to purchase a High Definition capable set-top converter box. The converter box will have HD component out and may have HDMI out, either will feed your HD Ready TV.

HD ready?

The TV is just HD ready (doesn't have the HD tuner built-in), you need a separate HD tuner connected to your TV.
