Arctic air freezer building up ice but not freezing

It is a defrost problem. Either the defrost timer is not working or the defrost heater is shorted out. You will need to ohm out the heater. It should have close to infinite ohms. If "open" then that is your problem.

I have a 22 CUFT upright reach-in that ices up constantly. The ice builds up in the back of the freezer near the drain and then extends out to all the food toward the back area. I've tried increasing the...

this can be multiple issues. look for the freezer being level. look for any missing screws where water can leak out during defrost. make sure the door closes and seals. be sure you have the right amount of defrost cycles at the correct length. check to see if defrost heaters work. you may need to add a heater to the drain if there isn't one. worst case: remove product overnight and store in another freezer, unplug unit and leave door open to defrost, then plug in first thing in the morning.

My f22cwf freezer keeps freezing up.

see if you can locate the defrost timer. then check it to see if it works. If it is a mechanical one, it will have a timer face on it that moves. make a mark on it and then check it in about 15 minutes to see if it has moved. If not, there is your problem.
Let me know if we need to go any farther. will be glad to dig alittle deeper.

I have ice build up in the coils and the freezer is not freezing , thawed the coils with a dryer but in a couple of days it is back again

Can't locate specific manual for your product but sounds like a defrost problem.
Unit should defrost on a regular basis. Usually controlled by a timer. It should turn refrigeration system off, including fans, and turn on heaters to clear any frost or ice on the evap coils. Cycle varies on usage. Look for timer and see if it is running. Make a mark on it and give it an hour and check again to see if it has moved.
Hope this gets you started.

F22cw thaws & compressor is very hot..will stay that way for a day or 2 then starts working again...also fan on bottom of unit net to compressor doesn't seem to

Your problem is probably attributed to one of the following:

* compressor
* attachments to compressor (e.g.: relay, capacitor (if applicable) and overload protector)
* refrigerant restriction or leak

Contact an appliance service company.

Fan in freezer not working

It runs when the compressor runs except when it's in the defrost cycle. If you have an electronic control instead of a defrost timer the control could be the problem since it runs the fans. You can test the evaporator fan. See how here> How to check everything

Broich Commercial freezer ~ manual lost

I just turned it off and pulled out the super defrost button. I used towels not the drainage plug since I couldn't find a pan of any sort.

Also...very funny comment about my husband taking care of it!

F22cw freezer

The only possible switch that would be located on the back on the bottom may be a defrost timer. Other than that would be the starting components of the compressor which would be a relay and possibly capacitor.
