Frigidaire Electric Range Model FEF355ESB

I have a Frigidaire Electric Range Model FEF355ESB. When I push the bake button the oven will not heat. Neither the broiler element nor the bake element will come on. If I push the broil button the broil element will come on then. What could be causing this problem?

Kenmore electric range model 911.95875790, no heat to either baking and broiler elements.

Hello. I looked carefully at the service manual for your unit--surprisingly, there is no thermal switch inline with the bake/broil elements. Usually, if the bake or broil elements pop, this blows out the thermal switch, killing power to the elements for safety. The main control board can get damaged due to the high current draw during a short-circuit. The part number for the main board is WB27T10008. The overlay(the decorative sticker with the button/names on it) numbers are as follows: almond WB27T10022, black WB27T10023, and white WB27T10021. I hope this helps you!

Broiler wont light everything else works..model ffgf3023lwa

Hi Chris Stewart - If the bake element and the top of the range works, but just not the heating element, then you possibly have a bad broiler element or connection. However, if you are experiencing other performance difficulties, then the control board may possibly be faulty and needs replacing. Consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

316418305 broiler element and bake element will not heat

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire range, model# FEF336BC, broiler and bake element not heating. I would give your range a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

Turn your oven on and if the elements are still not heating, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose your appliance. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-
WP

Frigidaire oven will not light

The control panel behind the knobs is the most likely problem.

The heating element rarely fails.

Broiler works fine, baking in oven does not. never heats up in bake mode

Is this a GAS range? Or an ELECTRIC range?

If this is a GAS range and the broiler is working, more than likely you have a worn igniter on the bake manifold that needs to be replaced. A glowing igniter does not necessarily mean it is good. The following link explains a little theory on how these igniters work and how to replace them:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575727-replacing_an_oven_igniter_on_a_gas_range

If this is an ELECTRIC range, more than likely the lower heating element for the oven (Bake) is defective and needs to be replaced. The following link epxlains how to replace a heating element on an electric range:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575810-replacing_the_bake_or_broil_element_in_a

Since all the oven features on either a gas or electric range are controlled by the Electronic Range Control (ERC) board, and the broiler IS working, it may be safe to assume this is not a control board problem.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you need. NOTE: The ERC is also known as the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board on some models.

If you have questions about this repair, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER so that I may be able to provide you with a more difinitive solution. I hope this helps you.

Lower heating element in oven does not work

so this unit is electric? does the broiler work? if the answer is yes , the broiler does work...more than likely you need a bake element. Do you have a multimeter? you can also check to see if you have 240 volts going to the element when you turn it on if you have voltage your problem is 100 percent a bake element that has gone bad.

My broiler and range work but my "bake" option will not produce any heat??? Please help!!!

If this is an electric range, it sounds like you have a bad bake element in the oven. The broiler and bake features each have their own heating element. Thats why the broiler still works. The following link explains how to replace a heating element in an electric range:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r469407-replacing_bake_or_broil_element_in

If the model range you have this question listed under is correct, the part number for a replacement element is WB44K5012. It lists for about $25 at pcappliancerepair.com.

If you have questions, or if the model number is not correct, please post back with your information so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance.. I hope you find this information helpful.
