Can't log in to EXCITE.COM...Worked fine up to a few weeks ago. When I try to log in it just comes back with another login request. Works fine for my laptop. Some setting must have changed on my desktop but have no idea what it is. Searched around but could not find any settings to change

    Tried everthing you and others have recommended. While trying different settings I stumbled on the solutions. It was TOOLs,OPTIONS.PRIVACY,SET "REMBER HISTORY". THEN CLEAR YOUR HISTORY. This step brings up a drop down with several items that a check. One was not checked, so I checked it too. It was"SITE PREFERENCES"

    That one step corrected the problem

    PS I am using FIREFOX

    So you helped me in a kind of a round about way

Hi,

Possible reasons may be as follows:

1. You may enter wrong user name or password. Check the Caps Lock key on the keyboard. It may be stay locked and you write wrong password.

2. Check the internet options settings. your site may be in the blocked list.

To check it:

- Internet browser menu Tools > Internet Options > Security > Restricted Sites > Sites
İf the name of your website is there delete it.

- Internet browser menu Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites
İf the name of your website is there as blocked website delete it from the list (Allow).

3. If you are connected to internet and can not log in your email using outlook etc. programs please sen me your comments.
But not try to connect using web browser.

- Are you trying to login in standard mode or secure mode?
- Is there any error message when you tried to log in?
- What is your operating system and browser?

    If you are using secure mode while logging in and if your browser does not support secure mode you may not able to log in. Secure mode usee SSL encryptions-technology and some older browsers don't support that technology.

You need to clean your browser's history files, if using IE8 open Internet Explorer and go to Tools on the menu bar and select 'Delete Browsing History', then in the dialogue box that appears untick 'Preserve Favorites website data' and tick the rest then click the delete button at bottom

Starts fine...no juice....sat for 10 years in the box...started using it 3 weeks ago...worked fine until yesterday....starts...runs..no juice...no circuit breakers blown...what's up?


Colemans were known for losing what is known as "residual magnetism", especially when sitting for long periods of time without use. This residual magnetism is necessary for exciting the field to produce electricity. Here is what you can try: Plug a 110v drill into one of the 110 outlets. While the engine/generator is running, with an open hand (not fingers wrapped around it) spin the chuck while holding the drill trigger in the run position. Many times this small amount of current that will be produced by spinning the drill motor will restore the residual magnetism and excite the field. Keep in mind that if this works, the drill motor will begin to spin immediately since it is plugged into the outlet. Hope this helps.

Do a recall on your member name first, once you get that, then recall the password.

Once you have both reset, go to the login page and try to login again.

Hi Galaxy,

Try running camera directly on DC from charger and see if it stays functioning.
If it does, they you either have:-
1) a faulty Lion battery
2) the battery detect circuit in the camera is faulty (reporting low battery and forcing shutdown)
3) the power switch on top of the camera may be leaky or partially collapsed
4) internal power supply circuit in camera has developed a fault.

Good luck...hope that the issue is the battery.
