Question about Bose On-Ear Headphones

1 Answer

The sound keeps cutting out from the earphones

Its as if its a gargled sound but when i touch the solid unit that plugs into the ipod the sound may appear normal but if I move the ipod the quality of the sound detoriates
This is my second set of earphones having the same problem
I am about to ask for a refund of my money from the retailer as it under warranty
Is this a known problem or is it just me ?

Having same problem here... It's a real pain in the a**!
The headphone plays normally when I'm sitting or doing no movement. But when I start walking or do some quick moves, GOSSHHH the left side cuts the music. It plays and cuts, and keeps on repeating simultaneously unless I jiggle and hold the main jack that's connected permanently to the headphone..
I'm trying to open the heaphone to see if there's any loose connection inside and try to fix it, but I'm afraid I might scratch the headphone or it might even crack while opening cause it's kind of real tight!
Any help regarding how to open the headphone?

Sound only comes out of one earphone on ipod touch. earphones work well with other appliances and no problem with ipod.

I guess the connector on the iPod touch could be faulty. Some cheaper headphones might have a slightly wrong plug so it does not connect right, but I don't think this is the case in your setup. Try another headphone on your iPod and see if you still have one speaker to know for sure.

How do I change speaker sound from earphone sound?

While playing music, the iPod Touch should switch automatically from earphones to speaker when you unplug the earphones. If your Touch doesn't do this, it may have a physical defect. There is no setting on the Touch that would cause this problem.

My ipod touch internal speaker quit working today and a song will not even play until earphones are plugged in. can anyone help?

This sounds like a sensor problem. Best to consult your local Apple store and see what they say. Otherwise if you want to try backing everything up, then restoring the soft to the iPod and restoring the backup and that might fix it. (Note you will need to restore to the latest soft for the iPod Touch)

My itouch earphone jack creates static in earphones.

sounds like the typical ipod and ipod touch common situation. It seems to be the dreaded headphone jack on the bottom or top of the device has gone belly up. You can either take it to your local apple store or look online and search your problem and see if anyone else has the same issues you have and see what can be done. You can send it to ipodsquad.com to get repairs or check your local apple store.

The internal speakers on my ipod touch don't work

As far as I know, the sound quality coming out of the ipod is not so great to begin with. I have an iPod touch, and the speaker I have right now was only $12.59 and the sound quality is great. plus I have my headphones from UxSight. They are amazing. Here is the link: iPod speakers

Why don't earphones when plugged not cut off itouch speaker?

i believe it has something to do with contacts with the earphones, if they are worn, it will not make a good contact to tell the external speakers to shut off...i hope this helps...maybe purchase new earphones...cheaper than replacing itouch....
