My Bosch dishwasher drains once the cycle is over. However, in a few hours, water accumulates at the bottom of the dishwasher. Need to use the last stage of the cycle, namely CL, again to drain it.

    The problem repeats.

    Any suggestions?

my whirlpool dishwasher doesn't drain. also when i turn it to wash it stays on in the same spot and never advances to rinse or dry. i actually ran all night long on wash cycle.

Haier integrated dishwasher isnt washing dishes properly and the salt tray and food catching unit at the bottom are full of water when the cycle is over. The detergent is also not being released or ends up not being used and sitting at the bottom of the unit. DW12CBE4 code is written on top of the unit. Cant find the manual. Ive tried running cleaning agents through, cleaning all the detachable parts, cleaning the arms etc. The machine is only 3 years old however i was told it might be a problem with the pump and in this case i would be better off replacing the unit as it would amount to much the same price.

Water will not drain out of the bottom of dishwahser

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn't overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn't working properly, the drain pump isn't working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home's drain lines. First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. If you have checked the drain hose and can't locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

Hi The dishwahser does not clean properly. There does not seem to be enough water coming through. I have cleaned out the pump and filters but this has not resolved the problem. Getting a knocking noise as...

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it’s kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound. If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve.

Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush.

The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Please post back for any further assistance.

try the most simple thing first. cut the power to the unit and wait a while allowing it to reset. then restore power and see. otherwise this may be an error code. Check with sears or search at

The water does not fully drain out of the dishwahser

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
  1. Drain line/air gap--A clog in this part is the usual reason that a dishwasher doesn't drain. Remove the drain line to clear any debris from the hose or hose connection at the household drain line connection. Reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.
  2. Pump--You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher. Remove the lower rack, spray arm and support. Look for an impeller, a device that spins around and forces water through the spray arm. This is the wash impeller and beneath it is the drain impeller that pushes the water into the drain port. Replace it if found defective or worn out.
  3. Drain valve/solenoid---The drain valve may have a solenoid with lever that sticks or frozen and prevents the dishwasher from draining. Free up the solenoid and lubricate the lever.
  4. Belt---A certain brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. Replace it if broken or worn out.
  5. Motor---Check it if turning or working.Turn the rotor manually to see if stuck and free it up. Replace if defective, it is not serviceable.

Help with how to use properly a dishwahser.

You either have a blocked drain or pump or check to see if the water tap is turned on. It means that either the water wont pump out or fill with water. Good luck

Broken dishwahser

Check to see if there is a waste basin at the bottom of your dishwasher. Some models have them and they require regular maintenance / cleaning every 6 months or so. If one does not exist, try to purchase one of the JetDry Dishwasher cleaner and set your dishwasher to run at its hottest (usually "pots and pans" or "extra hot") for about 2 cycles. That should clean the drain of the large food particles that have accumulated in the dishwasher drainage. Should the above not provide satisfactory results, you may want to try a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of drain cleaner in the middle of an empty cycle to try and remove the debris. (CAUTION: too much drain cleaner will damage the waste bin if not rinsed properly and render your dishwasher useless..please only do this at your own risk)

If it does not fill properly to a certain level, the heater will NOT come on, so you need to solve the filling problem. Is the drain hose raised sufficiently? Is the pressure hose blocked? Does it let water in and then just stop? Oshie
