Question about HP iPAQ hw6500 Pocket PC
Im trying to use my Ipaq hw6500 series phone (I thinks its a 6515). I havent used it in months but now it wont work. When I plug it in, the red LED in the upper right hand corner keeps flashing. It acts like its trying to start up because the cingular screen will pop up for like 3 seconds, but then it shuts off. It continues to do this over and over again as long as its plugged in. I've tried both a soft and hard reset with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
If the battery was inserted to the unit prior to its storage, it might be the cause. Try charging battery directly in its cradle overnight or use new battery pack. If not then its hardware and/or formware problem. Sometimes electronic gadgets fail to work after prolonged storage due to to capacitor/condenser in its circuitry.
