Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive

1 Answer

My flash says it doesn't have room for anything even though there's nothing on it; is there a way to reset it completely? I'm using it on a Mac. Also, it's created "aliases" of some files, no idea what those are and won't let me delete them. Thanks!

ok, im not a mac user, i have never tried it yet, **** i do know there is so filesystem compatibility problems that can accure betwen these os's, since many of them use diffrent filesystems,
so u can do somthing about that, and its using a live cd, like puppy linux live cd, u can google for it and download the iso, its about 100 mb, burn it to a disk, and dnt be afraid if your not familior with linux, this disk is pretty easy and simple, so make sure your flash drive is pluged in before you boot the cd, while booting youll get some questions just click enter, and the default will be chosen, when booting is done youll get a desktop enviorment, click on the first icon on the tope left (it might defer betwen the versions of downloaded for ex, the older puppy will show you all the drives unmounted on the bottom left of the desktop and u just have to click a click on any drive to mount it), so in linux u need to mount then access the drive, so after u click the first icon ur drives will be listed, locate the usb and mount it, a new window will appear showing the usb files, and mount your hdd in the same way to copy the files to it because you need to fromat the usb drive!
after that unmount them and right click on desktop, and locate gparted (its propably under system), when loaded, select your usb drive(on the tope right), and again might deffer with versions, and make sure it is not your hard drive selected (check space), after that right click on the partiton listed and click format, and choose the file system you want, i think ntfs will work fine, so after that reboot into mac, and recopy the files to the usb drive, gd luck.

use puppy linux live cd, u can download the iso, burn it to disk, plug the pen drive, boot the cd, use gparted to format the pendrive , use ntfs, remove the disk and boot mac....

the idea is all about filesystems, cz there will always be compatibility problems between os;s filesystems, since they are diffrent among os's............

Try updating skype on both machines and make sure there is enough band width to work. If you use a Mac, why not use Facetime.

How do i download an mp3 free song on to my mac?

Go to any website that provides free mp3 downloads and follow their directions (either click to download or right click and "save as"). Depending on your taste in music will depend on what site you download from. My daughter likes http://www.mp3boo.com/
Google is your friend, so use it. Just be cautious when you type a query "FREE MP3" because every website that has this tag (FREE) will come up. Even though they may not even have anything you want or anything that is actually free, by using this tag they appear in search engines and attract people under false pretense.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Flashing folder icon at startup

Fixed it myself. Here's how:
Put a DVD of Mac OS Leopard in the optic drive and restart with the C key held down. THIS time it responds and gives me a complete launch, however I did have to reformat the Hard Drive using the Disk Utility on the OS disk. It also required me to use the GUID table format on the options menu button... look for it...
Then after reformatting, I was able to reload the OS and at least I was able to save a MOBO swap...
Cool beans and I'm up and running..

Dark pictures with flash

I had this problem before, sent it off to have it repaired 1 year ago, and now have it again. Just to make sure it's the same problem, here's a description: The flash seems to be out of sync with the shutter. Using the flash in medium or low light (in auto mode) makes the picture darker than not using a flash at all. It ruins the picture. In a completely dark room, even though the flash fires, the pictures comes out pitch black. The problem is the flash unit -- it needs to be replaced. If your camera is under warranty, Canon will replace it for free. (You pay only to ship it to them.) (You might try what they told me to try before I shipped it off, and that was to reset the camera by pushing and holding the menu button until it resets. Didn't do anything for mine, but who knows.) If it's not under warranty, Canon will offer to replace it with a refurbished newer model for a discounted price. That's my situation now, because the problem has come back. I did come across a posting that described how to replace the flash unit yourself -- it involves taking the camera apart, but looks doable. (Sorry, I don't have the link handy and I'm not sure if I can find it back.) The problem is, I don't know where to get the part. Canon has been no help on this. Anyone know where I can get a Canon flash unit for the A85? Hope this helps, and good luck.
