SOURCE: hello, last week I change the

Hello, can you tell me the detailed error message on the blue screen? Did you try to restore it with the recovery DVD provided as part of the package? You can reboot it and press F12 to change the boot order to boot from DVD or CDROM first and then follow the instruction on the screen when the DVD kick in. Or you can enter BIOS to change the boot order too. You can press F2 key when rebooting to enter BIOS. There might be some security feature which may be causing the problem of your disk. Try to disable TPM and try again if necessary.
To make sure TPM is disabled, try the following approach.
In the Security section of the BIOS, the following TPM related settings can be found:
Security Chip: [Enabled] (value is displayed greyed out, not selectable)
Current TPM State: Disabled and Deactivated (value is displayed normally, but is not selectable)
Change TPM State: [No Change] (value is displayed greyed out, not selectable)
Clear Security Chip [Enter] (value is displayed greyed out, not selectable)
You can only change the state of the TPM chip with "supervisor" credentials in the BIOS.

Steps to follow:
Set a supervisor password in your BIOS, save changes and boot into BIOS again.

If the issue persists, you can try to boot with a partition tool like Partition Master and see whether it can change your partitions to the original settings. It is bootable and can resize your partition using drag and drop in its interface with data protected. http://www.partition-tool.com/professional.htm

If there is still issues, please let me know and I will have more information.

How to make dual boot with window xp vista and windows 7

Dual booting Windows is the most challenging of the three options; however, making it work can be very rewarding. The process of creating a dual boot environment differs from Windows Vista to XP. Please follow the instructions according to which version of Windows you are currently using.
To run two operating systems on your computer, you will need to add a second partition. If you are not familiar with adding a partition, you can learn how in this section. Please note: each operating system will be able to see the other partition; thus, you can share files between them.

Dual Boot with window x and windows 7

You will need third party software to create a second partition for Windows 7; once you have created the partition, you can install Windows 7 on it.

Create a New Partition (Vista)

Click the Start button, right click Computer, and clickManage

In the left pane, click Disk Management

Now create a new partition by shrinking a previous volume so you can use the newly created space. Right click on the partition and clickShrink Volume.

Now right click the free space and click New Simple Volume…
Specify the volume size and click Next

Format the drive as NTFS, give it a label, and click Next

Power on your computer, insert the Windows 7 DVD, and restart your computer

Press the necessary key to initiate booting from your DVD (usually Esc or F12.)

Windows will now load the installation files.

Click Install now
Your computer will restart several times during the process as it configures itself and installs updates Be sure to leave the DVD in the drive and let Windows take care of itself.

Memory (RAM) – 1.25 GB required, 2 GB memory recommended.
Recommended 15 GB hard disk space per virtual Windows environment.
NB: Windows XP Mode is only available in Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Ultimate.

Dual Boot Xp & windows 7

First you have to create partition. You need at least two partition. One in which you intall Xp and other for win 7. WARNIG BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE THIS.*(You can create partion by any hard drive manager you can make a hard drive partition in control panel>administrative tool>create & manage hard drive partition)
Now install xp first in one partition. If you have pre installed then avoid this step.
Now install Win 7 in another partition.
After you restart the machine will ask to chose your os. & just select the required OS.

If any problem appears then just put win XP disk & repair it.

You cant install win Xp after windows 7.
You have to format win 7 before installing Xp.
Commiting any of trick or Tweak you need to backup your data in another HD partition

I want to format my c drive with the help of Dos command prompt , installed win 7 ultimate.

Formatting hard drive When booting from a Windows installation CD select the option to install Windows then you (can either delete the existing partition/s then create a new partition then you) can format the hard disk. After formatting the hard disk you can abort the Windows installation if you do not want proceed to install Windows.
You should be able to use the Windows 7 installation CD to delete the existing partition, create a new partition and format the new partition and then install Windows 7.

I reformat my gateway netbook from xp to windows 7 starter... but when I restart it shows an option of windows xp and windows 7. I need to choose windows 7 before the windows start....pls help i dont know...

that happens because you didn't delete your original install of xp. basically you are dual booting operating systems. the best way to recitify this is to reinstall wndows seven and do whats called a destructive install. You should be prompted as to whether or not you want to do an upgrade or a custom install. choose custom and install. this should completely remove xp from the system. if you need any existing data from xp be sure to save it prior.

I have 40gb hdd.need a partition scheme for windows xp such that i have 17GB gb for my games THANK YOU

Using the Windows XP installation disk, procede to install windows normally. In the windows setup you will get a list of options. Choose "C" to create partition. Create a 20GB partition. When that is done create another 20GB partition unless you plan on installing another Operating System such as Windows 7 later. If you want to keep XP and install Windows 7 at a later date on the same PC, then Set up 2 - 10GB partitions for Operating Systems and 1 - 20GB partitions for games. Make sure to install the games on the 20GB drive letter only so that Windows has enough space to run.
