I can't find the picture of my play station 3 on this tv. I can't figure out ho to change the tv mode input. I can't find the picture on the tv

If you had this on an HDMI input before you will have to do a reset. Press the power button for 5 to 6 seconds till it beeps. You should be able to select your video output type after that. Don't worry this will not effect anything but your audio and video settings.

Hi i have play station 2 and i don't know what to put the tv on to play my games

Well first if you don't have a factory remote you will have to purchase a universal remote that supports i'll products program using factory codes or do a manual search( which takes a little time but I have had better luck with for more functions ) after programming you press tv/vcr button in which it should display ant. vIDEO1 video 2 and component repress button until desired chann el is highlighted coincideing with whatever location you have your device connected rear is video 1 and multicolor is component and front is video2

Having to manually change TV input when switching between HD and standard

Salutations ScottB15,

Looking over your owners manual, I hate to say that it appears there is not a automatic way to switch between Ant to component video. As your television does not appear to have a built-in digital tuner you would be connecting it through the component connections, and as the only analog tuner is running through the antenna connection you would have to use that.

On the bright side with the transition to digital broadcasting this should be something you will have to do less and less. And once 2/17/2009 comes around you won't have to do it at all.

Wish I had better news, but at least there is always a bright side.

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.

Using a VCR with it.

Hi, Based on your post/description, a common installation/connection would be: 1. Ant/Cable in to the RF INput of the VCR (this is assuming that your cable TV is cable/F output and not the audio/video RCA output); 2. A short RG59 cable with F connectors at both ends should connect RF OUT of VCR to ANT/CABLE IN of TV. 3. With the VCR off, the cable would connect automatically to the TV and channel selection is thru your TV. 4. With the VCR on, The TV must be set to either 3 or 4, channel selection may be done on the VCR, TV programs can be recorded, video tapes can be played. A variation: Another would be to use the Audio/Video OUTput of the VCR to the Audio/Video INput of the TV (assuming it's got one). The TV must be set to Video to watch cable, VCR. Channel selection would be thru the VCR. Hope this be of some idea/help. Post back should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

Cannot view channels higher than 10 and cannot get DVD to come on

Dear althea, I cannot help you with the first problem, but as for the second, "DVD does not come On" and "Do not understand Video 1, 2, & 3 settings." it is very simple. YourTV has the sockets at the front Marked Video 1, Audio L and audio R, The y are in three colors - Yellow for video, red for audio right and White for Audio Left. Similarly, you have 2 such sets of 3 sockets - they are Video 2 and Video 3. This allows your TV to be connectod to three different Video sources - maybe a VCR, A Video game, and a DVD player. To view the pictures generated by your DVD Player, all you gotts do is connect the supplied AV cord from the rear of the DVD player to the front three sockets in the proper order - Video from DVD to Video of TV, Audio L & R from DVD player to Audio L & R of TV. Now press Video on the TVs remote. Press repeatedly till you get Video 1 displayed on the screen. Then, if you now play your DVD player - make sure there is a disc in it - you will be able to view the picture / movie. Good Luck

Cannot get DVD to Play on TV

Try the old RCA/GE channels of 90/91 or 92 to get to the inputs. Or try entering channel 00. Let me know if that works.
